Welcome to my UpJoy app review.
Where we will be talking about a video-watching app.
That in many ways is similar to TikTok.
But with the huge added bonus of earning opportunities.
Now we all know that being a content creator and using these social media apps can make you a good living.
However, I don’t think that can even come close to the tantalizing opportunity that UpJoy presents you with.
With the claims of making $50 after watching just 100 videos via there app.
It will make you think for a second of whether your source of entertainment is coming from the wrong app.
But before you go ahead and spend hours on UpJoy, there are certainly some things you should know.
For one there are aspects to it, that don’t initially meet the eye.
This is why in this post I am going to take you through everything you need to know about them.

UpJoy App Overview
So what exactly is UpJoy?
Well described by there developers has a video making software, it is a video viewing platform that is claiming to pay you big bucks for watching your short videos.
Now we all know that short form content is king in 2023.
With the likes of TikTok has I alluded to above, people have never been so glued to there phones.
However with apps like this one, it begs the question of whether you can actually get paid for doing this rather simple action.
The people who are coming forth with all these bold claims is Skyrim Flash.
Not to be confused with the popular action role playing game, this developer is painting the picture that this new game is a gem, with it already surpassing the 50k installs.
While the claims may be impressive.
Watching a few videos here and there to get some easy bucks.
Something that grabbed my attention was the ratings for this game already.
Boasting a 5 star review score out of 5, the game seems to be perfect in every department.
I mean I certainly can’t think of many games of the app store that can brag about those numbers.
But with these reviews being visible to the public, you are to learn a lot more about the true colours of UpJoy.
Many of these I will reveal over the next few minutes.
How Does UpJoy Work?
So first things first you probably want to know if the claims are true, right?
Can you pick up this game and start watching videos for money.
Well I have gone ahead and downloaded the game so you don’t need too, in order to get you that answer.
Now getting started is very simple, once you have installed UpJoy you will not only get a bonus.
But a bonus that is worth $200.
This keeps in line with most of the sign up bonuses that seem to be offered nowadays.
Once you have collected it, you are free to get on with actually earning.
Yes you heard that right.
You don’t need to make an account, and you can watch your first video within seconds.
Navigating to the video section, in the bottom left corner, you will be presented with a list of YouTube shorts videos.
Almost as if you were watching them on the platform yourself.
You can scroll through these videos you will fill up a counter.
Which at the end presents you with a chest once full, as you can see below:
Through tapping on this chest you will earn various amounts of coins that are then added to your balance.
Inconsistent Payouts?
So far so good, right?
Well sort off.
The early claims about earning lots of virtual money is for the most part right.
You not only pick up $200 in the first few seconds.
Which was weird for me to type.
But before you even get to finishing watching your first video, you will find yourself with more.
For myself this was $80.
Again another crazy amount given without too much reason as to why.
Now we know these app developers want to be looked at has these crazy cash gifting money schemes.
But things just don’t add up.
For start the advert said you could make $50 from watching 100 videos.
Well turns out that isn’t true.
You can do that in less then one video.
Secondly the amount you earn has no direct correlation to the videos you watch.
As the above already suggests anyway, but what I found is I continued to earn cash even if I didn’t watch new videos.
Unfortunately this wouldn’t be the first red flag that I would come across.
Similar To Other Apps But Worse
Now the concept of UpJoy is nothing new to me.
I have had experience in the past trying out apps that pay you to watch videos.
Just look at ClipClaps a popular app that does reward you for engaging with funny vines.
However while even that app has its critics.
One thing I can say is that the concept certainly worked.
Similar to UpJoy they had a orange counter that filled has you watched videos,
This was directly related to your viewing time and you were also paid accordingly.
Unfortunately cents per video.
But with UpJoy were seeing a different type of app.
Not only is it poorly designed, but it all just seems like a desperate plea to get users into thinking they can earn when they can’t.
Can You Get Paid With UpJoy?
You would like to think that with the energetic advertisments they display, putting forth this idea of earning through videos, is true.
However there isn’t enough to suggest that.
While the withdrawal threshold is easy to reach, and can be done within minutes.
Nothing has long winded as initally seemed the case.
It seems high unlikely with a minimum threshold of $500 which equates to 5000 green coins, that they would pay.
This again is another discrepancy between reality and the ad, as the advert literally shows a payout of $165.93.
But this is impossible with the threshold in place, which is rather confusing for any potential users.
Secondly there is something that I picked up on within there advertising, that is worth mentioning.
Within there small print, they show a small messege saying that earnings aren’t guarenteed.
But a voice over within this same advert will literally say the words.
‘What ever you win we will pay out to your PayPal’.
So in one way they saying you can earn lots.
But in another way there essentially saying, your very unlikely too.
This just makes it really hard to believe UpJoy in anything they say when it comes to payouts.
The Final Verdict
So as you can see this money earning TikTok wannabe, wants to reel you in with the premise that you will get paid for watching videos.
However as you can see from my research.
Everything points the other way in saying that they won’t pay you, then actually reward you.
I know this can be quite hard to grasp.
Has the advert seemed to really hype up UpJoy has being easy, but it simply isn’t the case.
All it is, is a cash grabbing money making game that is out to get money from you when you watch videos.
Instead of it being you benefiting as it should be.
I do hope this UpJoy app review helps you in making a informed descion on whether to play them.
