Being someone who has been a member for close to two years now.
I thought now was the time to finally do a review.
Of which you can probably tell by how long I have been a member.
However, while I have been there for many months now.
Is it actually worth it?
After all, you may have heard some people raving about it.
Or even you have walked past one of their gyms and wondered if it’s any good.
So in this article I am going to take you through everything you would need to know about the Third Space Gym.

Location and Accessibility
One thing I have really liked about Third Space Gym is the fact you have multiple clubs scattered around London. So whether you live in the West, North, East, or South of London, there will be a gym that is in reach that you can incorporate into your daily routine.
But for me, I have personally found, which I didn’t expect at first, that each club offers something different.
So while each has top-notch facilities, you will find that on some days you fancy one over the other.
Wimbledon
The newest branch coming after the Moorgate branch opened in early 2023 is Wimbledon.
Wimbledon is the first gym to be launched in west London, giving any gym goers in this region another option to add to the Virgin Active and David Lyoyds already here.
Launching on the 4th of December this gym has a lot of the features the other Third Space gyms offer, but with a new slick new look.
A yard popular with the Canary Wharf branch, world-class spa, cycling studio, elite level training, swimming pool, Finnish sauna, and loyly sauna are just a few of the features.
Moorgate Club
Moorgate is the newest of the Third Space Gym’s and has the freshest look of them all. With state-of-the-art facilities underground at this establishment, there is plenty to like.
However I haven’t found myself drawn to this specific location like the others, maybe its the absense of the swimming pool.
But one thing is for sure is that the features of the running track aswell as the boxing arena which looks really cool, are all great additions to the latest Third Space Club.
Islington Club
For many Third Space members, the Islington club is a favorite of thiers which is easy to work out why. This one features great facilities a level beneath the ground, has a fantastic jacuzzi to relax in after a work out, as well as lobby to chill and do work in too.
This one does get rather busy at rush time, and you feel it at this location more then the others due it to feeling quite small.
Canary Wharf Club
If instead you’d like to go on a climbing wall then the massive one at Canary Wharf is the one to report to for that.
The Canary Wharf location is a short walk from the Canary Wharf tube station being just inside Canada Space shopping center, making it convenient for those who work or live in the area.
You also have a multi-story car park, so if you are traveling by car, you can easily park up and do your gym workout before leaving.
This gym is the biggest in the UK, however is also one of the busiest when it comes to rush hour, so if you are thinking of going I’d definitely try and avoid that 5/7 p.m. slot.
City Club
Of the Third Spaces based near Tower Bridge, City has become a go-to of mine, this one is probably the smallest of the gyms in terms of space.
However there is something about this location that I just love, the pool and sauna space is exquisite, and there is a really nice vibe in the main area of the gym.
The City location, on the other hand, is situated near Fenchurch Street station, making it easily accessible for commuters.
Facilities Overview
As soon as I walked into Third Space Gym in London, I was impressed by the sheer size of the facility.
In fact, the club in Canary Wharf is the biggest gym in the UK.
Boasting three stories.
Wide range of equipment and amenities for members to use.
One of the standout features of Third Space Gym is the hypoxic chamber, which simulates high-altitude training.
This is a great option for athletes looking to improve their endurance and performance.
Having tried this a few times over the course of being a member, I can say this is certainly a challenge!
Additionally, the gym has a large functional training area with equipment such as TRX suspension trainers, kettlebells, and battle ropes.
For those who prefer traditional weightlifting, there is a vast selection of free weights and weight machines available.
You also have a dedicated powerlifting area with squat racks, deadlift platforms, and bench presses.
Now one of the biggest selling points of Third Space Gym is the classes.
I haven’t personally dabbled in these too much.
However, there is a wide range of group fitness classes, including yoga, Pilates, spinning, and boxing.
The classes are led by experienced instructors and are suitable for all levels of fitness.
You will find though that some classes are only available at certain gyms.
For instance, Bikram Yoga which is a form of hot yoga, can be done at Third Space London Bridge.
Another thing to touch upon is the amenities.
Now if your used to gyms such as PureGym, JD gyms etc.
Then what Third Space offers may come as a shock at first in this department.
You have spacious changing rooms with lockers, showers, and toiletries provided, one for females and one for males.
The gym also has a sauna and steam room, as well as a cold plunge pool for post-workout recovery.
Which depending on the gym, can either be segregated or unisex.
Overall, Third Space Gym offers a comprehensive range of facilities and amenities for fitness enthusiasts of all levels.
Whether you’re looking to improve your endurance, build strength, or simply enjoy a good workout, this gym has something for everyone.
Fitness Equipment
If you are someone who is all about there cardio, then you will also love the fitness equipment on offer.
Which is state of the art, which you can only expect for the price you are paying.
Here are some of the equipment that stood out to me:
Cardio Machines
Third Space Gym London has an impressive selection of cardio machines that include treadmills, rowers, exercise bikes, and cross trainers.
The machines are modern, well-maintained, and easy to use.
You have your TV and music options if you want to get into your zone.
Each Third Space gym has a dedicated cardio area that provides ample space for cardio enthusiasts to work out comfortably.
Now since each layout is different, you will find that where each section is, does vary.
For example at the Canary Wharf club, the bikes are on the third floor.
But at gyms such as Moorgate and Islington then underground.
Strength Training Equipment
If you’re looking to build strength, Third Space Gym London has got you covered.
The gym has a wide range of strength training equipment that includes free weights, resistance machines, and functional training tools such as kettlebells, medicine balls, and TRX bands.
The free weights area is spacious, and the equipment is well-organized, making it easy to find what you need.
Group Exercise Equipment
Third Space Gym London offers a wide variety of group exercise classes, and the gym has all the necessary equipment to support these classes.
The studio rooms are equipped with sound systems, mirrors, and mats.
So no matter what class you put your name down for, you will have all the necessary equipment provided for you.
Recovery and Relaxation Equipment
One of my favourite parts of Third Space is the relaxation equipment you can use during/after workouts.
After all after a tough workout, it’s essential to take time to relax and recover.
Now what you will find is saunas, steam rooms, and ice baths which are lovely.
The gym also has a range of foam rollers, massage balls, and stretching mats that can help you recover and prevent injury.
Some of which I also use in my stretching routine before workouts too.
Overall, Third Space Gym London has an impressive range of fitness equipment that caters to all fitness levels and goals.
The gym is well-organized, and the equipment is modern and well-maintained.
Whether you’re a cardio enthusiast, strength builder, or group exercise lover, Third Space Gym London has everything you need to achieve your fitness goals.

The gym offers over 200 classes every week, and the classes are led by experienced and certified instructors.
One of the most popular classes at Third Space Gym London is Power Ride.
This is something I have done personally and is without a doubt one of the most challenging exercies I have done.
So if you up to the task, then this high-energy indoor cycling class which focuses on improving cardiovascular fitness and burning calories, is worth a try.
The class is set to music and involves a combination of sprints, climbs, and intervals.
The bikes used in the class are state-of-the-art and allow you to track your performance metrics.
You can connect your phone to your bike so you can save your workout details and have it as a record for when you complete it in the future.
Another popular class is Pulse.
This is a full-body workout that combines strength training and cardio.
The class is designed to improve endurance, build muscle, and burn fat.
The class involves a variety of exercises such as squats, lunges, push-ups, and kettlebell swings.
Overall, the classes and programmes at Third Space Gym London are well-designed and effective.

Trainers and Staff
The atmosphere in Third Space Gyms is warm and you can always get access to trainers who are some of the best in the industry.
I still remember when I joined the gym, this was a time when I was new to gyms as a whole.
Having never been to one prior.
But it was during my induction that a personal trainer took me around the gym, helped me get used to the equipment, and helped me with a workout.
One I still use to this day.
Now if you want to further your experience in the gym, you can also book out some of their highly qualified personal trainers.
Each trainer from my experience has their own unique style and approach, you will therefore be able to find one that suits your needs and preferences.
In addition to personal trainers, the concierge team is particularly helpful, providing a warm welcome every time you enter the gym.
They are also on hand to answer any questions or help you with any issues you have. (Including letting you in when you have mistakenly left your card at home!)

In my experience, the customer service at Third Space Gym London has been exceptional.
This goes for all across the board over all thier gyms.

So from having issues with gym cards.

The cleanliness is seriously on point.
Which is to be expected when you do have a team of cleaners who are constantly going through the gym and keeping on top of everything.
From the floors to new sets of towels.
To even disinfecting equipment.
The staff do a good job of maintaining everything to a high level.
Community and Atmosphere
Something I have noticed and for those of you who like to use the gym has a way to socialise.

If you walk around some areas of the gym especially when classes are going on, you will notice classes with wireless headphones.
This is what is essentially called silent disco workouts.
Where you will have people wearing wireless headphones that play music and instructions from the instructor.
The music is loud enough for you to hear, but not so loud that it disturbs others in the gym.

Conclusion
Third Space isn’t going to be a gym that is for everyone.
Especially with the costs they charge.
It is significantly higher then lets say your PureGym.
However while others have said I was silly to pay for this gym.
I would say it is worth it.
Has Third Space quite literally offers you another space, in which you can spend some time in.
You have the gym.
But you also have all the facilities, state-of-the-art equipment, a wide range of classes, and expert trainers.
Another highlight of Third Space is its attention to detail.
From the quality of the equipment to the cleanliness of the changing rooms, every aspect of the gym is carefully considered and well-executed.
This attention to detail extends to the classes and training programs, which are designed to be challenging yet accessible to all levels of fitness.
All in all, I highly recommend Third Space Gym London to anyone looking for a premium fitness experience.
While the membership fees may be higher than some other gyms.
