So you have heard the hype around this game but thought to do some research on a Playsmart app review before investing your time into it.
I don’t blame you at all. The game says it pays out fairly; however, in a time where there are more false opportunities than ever, so being skeptical is understandable.
Playsmart claims to be an app that will help you exchange points (earned from playing their games) for rewards such as cash and gift vouchers.
Since I found their ad, I decided to download it on my phone and test it out, so I can give you my verdict on whether it is genuine or not.
Playsmart App Review Summary
- Owner: Team Bestplay
- What Are They?: Get Paid To Play Sponsored Games
- My Worth It Rating: 4/5
What Is Playsmart?
Playsmart is an app that pays users to play games on a timely basis.
You play the game for a few minutes, and you will receive some points that can be put towards a reward.
It can be compared to the likes of Coin Pop, Mistplay, and Snatch, all of which are legitimate.
Not all games that have this very concept are trustworthy.
A good example is Lucky Box that was essentially fooling people into downloading their other games.
This app is the only one made by Team Bestplay up to now, has 100k downloads and 4.3 stars from three thousand reviews.
What Is The Point Of Playsmart?
Put very basic the game pays you whenever you download one of their sponsored games.
However, the slogan is stated as ‘the loyalty program for mobile gamers.’
It’s not a fixed rate or a job where you earn an hourly wage.
Instead, you earn a few cents for every level or mission you play in one of their sponsored games.
Different from tester jobs, you aren’t getting paid to play and give feedback.
Instead, PlaySmart works with developers who want new people to play their game.
This with the idea that new players will play beyond the rewards that PlaySmart gives.
Getting Started With PlaySmart
After you have accepted the terms of the app, you will be prompted to make an account using either Google or Facebook.
Once clicked on, you will be asked to choose an account from either two to finish registration with.
Next up, we have the profile details.
These are required and are used to help PlaySmart learn more about you.
This includes your age, birth date, gender, and username.
You can also choose a profile picture; however, that is entirely up to you.
To get you up and running, games like this give you a little welcome bonus.
It is the same with this one as your given 200 bonus coins.
Now the last thing you need to do is permit usage access.
This is required so the app can monitor your progress on a game.
Playing Your First Game
Once the sign up is done and dusted, PlaySmart will collect all the tailored games for you.
Since the details I gave were fairly generic, I expect most games to be offered to everyone, except the odd one.
While I was given a list, the one that was featured was Township.
A game some of you most likely recognize as they have 100 million installs.
I chose this game, and because of that, it directed me to the play store to download it as I didn’t have it already.
Once you have pressed install, you can return to PlaySmart and wait for it to be download.
You will see the installation process here as well as in your notifications.
When it’s downloaded, the game will launch up immediately.
Making Coins With PlaySmart
After playing the game and completing a few levels, you will start to see coins come in.
Below is a screenshot of my reward for reaching level two of Township, which was 5 coins.
I know its not a lot, however it took me barely a few minutes to get it.
Now before I move on to the next section of this PlaySmart app review, let me talk about the different currencies.
As I mentioned, you have coins, but that icon second from the right is a daily play bonus.
If you play for 5 minutes each day, you will start a streak.
The purple icon represents badges.
These are earned by making progress within the games you’ve chosen.
Finally, you have star level, which is the first on the left.
If you earn 20 stars in a month, you unlock VIP status.
How Do They Pay?
I do see considerable similarities to MistPlay here, with the store of rewards looking quite alike.
The one difference here is that you can get PayPal cash, something MistPlay didn’t offer.
Now you can find all the rewards you can use your coins towards by clicking on the shop icon at the bottom.
Here you have:
- PayPal
- Amazon
- Uber
- Starbucks
- H&M
- Zalando
For the first two rewards on the list, you need only 400 coins to redeem the $0.50 option.
So that welcome bonus sets you halfway there already.
However, if you want the other rewards, you will need £5, £10, and £15’s worth of coins to redeem them.
What You Need To Know About
1. It Will Take A While
The good news is that I can tell you Playsmart pays out.
But the not so good news is that it will take you a while to make anything significant.
They say that it’s a loyalty program, so to get anything out of it, you will need to put plenty of time into it.
This means if you are someone looking for a good amount of money fast, this isn’t for you.
However, since the app pays you to play games you potentially already have, you can’t go wrong.
2. App Not Loading
With a rating of 4.3 stars, I was expecting to see nothing but good reviews.
However, there was some feedback I saw to be familiar with several users.
This being that users cannot either log in or launch the app.
It is reported that it’s happening to people who have recently updated the latest version of the app.
So it could be just a glitch and, therefore, something the developers can fix.
I thought it would be worth mentioning just in case a few of you were wondering why Playsmart isn’t responding.
Conclusion
I know apps have low-income potential; however, I like that you can get paid and rewarded for playing games you would of regardless.
Playsmart does a good job of setting up an opportunity that will genuinely reward gamers.
So if you are a vivid mobile gamer who is always found playing mobile games, then downloading this app could be quite beneficial for you even if you get it and left it running in the background.
While I am a big fan of these apps, it’s certainly not for everyone.
In fact, if your s0le focus is to make an income online, I wouldn’t recommend it to you.
It’s not an income you can rely on.
Instead, it’s more of a pay your monthly Netflix kind of thing.
As long as you understand that, you should be fine with this game.
Closing Off
I hope you found this Playsmart app review interesting!
If you have a question or two, let me know below 🙂
Question really, About PlaySmart app.If I get paid for games already on my phone, what about a couple of games that I have an are associated with MistPlay. Will PlaySmart pay for them even if their associated with a similar reward to play app?
Good question, Dana! I would suspect that if you have been playing the game with one reward app, that you wouldn’t be able to get paid with another. The app developers who work with these apps want new people to play their games.
I am not 100 percent sure but my best guess is that they won’t pay you again.
I hope that helps and if you have any other questions do let me know 🙂

Got new phone now the app doesn’t work says ops something went wrong
I just installed the app and got it set up a few minutes ago but there aren’t any games available? I’m curious if you had this issue at any point.
Hi Sheri,
Yeah, I have had this issue before, sometimes it happens because you have only just downloaded the app other times it could be because of your location.
