But 70 per cent rate is a massive amount, so how true that is you will find out in this review.

What Is Piggy About?
Piggy is a cashback app launched back in 2014.
They offer a way for people to save money on shops they would make anyway using their discount codes.
With the app installed, Piggy will add coupons to your shopping cart when you go to checkout.
They find the relevant codes for you for that store and add them with no added effort.
That saves you from searching from them yourself.
I think most of us have been a position where a shop as provided an option for us to use a code, but most of the time we haven’t got one to hand.
That leaves people paying for goods at full price. That is where a tool like Piggy can come in handy.
So far since there launch they claim to have had over 43 million orders placed, and it states on their site to have 1.2 million users signed up.
Let’s have a look at what you need to do to get saving.
Is It Free To Sign Up?
Piggy can not only be installed on desktop but also on your mobile phone.
Anyone can sign up from the United Kingdom, France, United States and Germany.
The addon is free and can be installed within a few minutes.
If your using a desktop device you will need to either go to ‘joinpiggy.com’ or search on the ‘chrome web store’ the search term ‘piggy’.
Once found simply click the blue button ‘add to chrome’.
You will then see a notification pop up, you will need to press ‘add the extension’, this will move it to your toolbar.
From here on in, when ever your on one of the 3000 stores they are partnered with, coupons will be tried and added.
Partnered with companies such as Amazon, Nike, Staples and more.
How Does Piggy Cash Back Work?
Once you have the set up done, you can now proceed to browse around online retailers and add items to your basket.
As soon as you go to checkout after putting items in your basket Piggy will then start checking for codes.
This process requires no effort on your behalf as this is all done automatically with the app.
By using these codes, it will entitle you to some cashback from Piggy themselves.

How Do You Receive The Cashback?
To get paid from Piggy you will need to have a balance of £25($30).
Once you have reached the threshold, they will then send a check out to you.
The process first requires Piggy to verify with the retailer that payment has been made.
It will first show up in the account in the first seven days after your purchase, after that it will be released for withdrawal when its cleared.
What I Am A Fan Off
1. Free For Anyone
What is a good aspect of Piggy is that it’s easily accessible and anyone can sign up for free.
Being able to save money where initially you wouldn’t have been able to is something I like to look out for.
2. All You Have To Do Is Install It
Another pro about Piggy I am a fan off is that once you have installed, you don’t need to do any setting up apart from making an account.
When the plugin is active it will check each store without you needing to do anything.
You will need to set up the payments for the cashback Piggy claim to give you, however with what I’m about to discuss I don’t think it matters.
What I Am Not A Fan Off
1. Not Paying
Everything does seem alright up to now; however, having had a chance to see what others have to say it appears as though Piggy don’t pay out consistently. In as recent as the past few months many people are complaining about not receiving there cashback.Below are a few screenshots of some of the recent ones. In all of them, you see unsatisfied users who have had issues with payments.
2. Coupons Not Always Working
Along with missing payouts reviews have come accompanied by another problem that coupons aren’t working.
That is very common that people are clicking on popular stores and when trying to get a discount have has no active coupons found.
It’s an interesting one as the site says the number of stores they work with. But often struggle to find coupons that work.
However, so many users are having issues with just finding one that works for them.
I even tried to find a few myself on ‘Nike.com’, but after trying four coupons, none of them worked. A few of them also said they weren’t valid.
3. Overhyped
From the second you click on Piggy you are greeted by overhyped selling and misleading.
Something that stood out to me and I mentioned earlier is the cashback rates.
Now with most cashback opportunities, I have tried you can get between 1% and 20% per purchase, with the average rate being around 7.5% from all stores.
So as soon as I saw that you could get up to 70%, I knew Piggy was trying to oversell there service.
At that price you are nearly getting items for free, while is cool is not common at all.
Is Piggy Cashback Safe?
Despite them being promoted a lot recently it does seem like Piggy is a scam and one I would not recommend.
It is a shame as what they advertise does sound good, which probably explains why they are getting a lot of attention.
However, with all that, we have discussed in this review its not worth your time. Especially with the issues and negative feedback, they have been getting.
If Piggy can address the issues, then I can see the potential, however, for the time being, it’s not usable.
If you are interested in saving some money, you can check out the Fluz App and Magic Freebies UK.
Two opportunities I have come across recently that will help you get some cashback.

Seventy percent seems like an awful lot I must say. The cashback amount is simply not sustainable. Thinking of it now offers more clarity. The complaints are just too much and the support team don;t even seem to be responding to the allegations. Frankly, I find it really surprising that piggy has lasted this long.
