Welcome to my Lucky Puppy App review.
There are a plethora of money-making games on the app store, of which a good chunk of animal-based ones.
The reason for that is straightforward, and that is very few people don’t like animals.
Now this game I will be talking about revolves around puppies and is one that users can apparently make money from.
If you want to know if this new game that is taking the store by storm will pay you out or, like other animal games I have played, will waste your time, this is the post for you.

Lucky Puppy App Review Summary
- Owner: 4Fun Club
- What Are They?: Merging Games
- My Worth It Rating: 2/5
What Is Lucky Puppy?
As soon as I saw Lucky Puppy, I had immediate flashbacks to Puppy Town, Cat Island and Cutie Garden.
In the game like those two, there is a merging one where animals merge together with the hope of making some extra cash from it.
These were two games that absolutely smashed it regarding numbers, with Puppy Town alone recently hitting the 50 million install mark.
Of course, many games are getting installs within this region; however, to get 10’s of millions and in the space of months is uncommon for sure.
So due to the unexpected success of that game, there has been a rise in games that include animals. To name a few, you have:
Lucky Puppy is still brand new on the app store, so in comparison, the numbers aren’t at their peak.
With that said, the developers 4Fun Club have already got it to 1 million+ since release on the 23rd of July 2020.
Now because the photos in the app store feature expensive prizes such as iPhones and, of course, the claims they make, this is one that will be downloaded many times in the coming months.
However, as your about to learn, that may not be good news.
How Does Lucky Puppy Work?
Even though there is a name change and they aren’t owned by Coin+, which operates Puppy Town, there are some big similarities.
These are all over the board, so if you have as much as come across an animal merging game before, it will feel like you’ve played this one before.
As far as mobile games go, this one is straightforward to play.
Like with most merging games, the point is to make lots of a certain currency.
In this case, what you get given in is virtual green cash. This has no cash value and can be used only to upgrade your puppies.
Now playing the game, what you need to do is merge together puppies. It’s as simple as that.
When you load up Lucky Puppy, you will be shown a screen that includes 7 spaces that can be occupied.
Here is a screenshot of the game:
In the above example and like the app shows, you drag one puppy over to another one. That will upgrade it.
So as you can see, there are two level one puppies there; this will make a level two.
You want to upgrade these because the higher the level, the more green cash you will make per second.
When you make this cash, you will need to reinvest it into upgrading the puppies, making even more money.
Can You Make Money With Lucky Puppy?
You would suspect at first glance that the prizes are earned through playing the game and merging the puppies.
But what is actually the case is the earning area is completely separate from the actual game.
So, where the supposed earning opportunities are, are on the lucky wheel tab in the top right-hand corner.
Once clicked on, you will see what’s shown below:
As shown above, there is a grid of 3×3 with prizes on all blocks apart from the middle.
Now, if you press the spin button in the middle, it will trigger the spin to move between the rewards.
The first spin is free; however, going forward, you will need to watch a video for each spin.
I would say that this is random, but it seems to be pre-determined, so Lucky Puppy has already chosen what you win.
This was very much the case with games like Puppy Town.
What is important to know about all these prizes is that it doesn’t result in you winning it if you land on any of them.
Instead, what you are collecting is puzzle pieces, which you must get a certain amount of each to redeem an item like an iPhone.
Does Lucky Puppy Pay Out?
It would be great if a game like Lucky Puppy genuinely gave out cash and iPhones, as shown in the store’s screenshots.
But from what I have seen, it doesn’t look to be the case, despite the claims.
Firstly and this is important, one of the screenshots in the store features someone getting $100.
Here it is below:
However, if you start up the game and look around, you will quickly find out that cash cannot be accumulated or won.
So that eliminates that prize.
The second way is through gadgets. Unlike the cash, there is a sign that they can be worked towards.
But also this important to put across, and that is no prizes will be won.
I know this is blunt, but at this point, I know the pattern of these games too well.
While you will collect a few puzzle pieces here and there and may even get 90 percent of the way there, you will never get enough to redeem a prize.
And if some fluke or glitch you manage to collect all the required puzzles, you can bet top dollar that there will be some ‘error’ which stops you from going any further.
What You Need To Know About
1. Good If You Like Animals
If you like animal games, this game is a dub; however, you still need a strong passion to play the game as it gets boring after a while.
It’s yet another merging game, which means you will upgrading animals and collecting virtual money.
You will unlock new breeds of puppies, but it does become very tedious after a while.
If it weren’t for the potential rewards or money that users hope they can win, then many users wouldn’t even bother playing it.
So what you have is that for these games, most of the players couldn’t care less about the game but just want to earn some cash.
I can’t blame them at all; however, it’s only going to end up in disappointment as you are so unlikely to gain anything from this game.
2. Overhyped And Already Done
I have already mentioned some similar games, but Lucky Puppy is a game that is not only overhyped but has been overdone.
This one is only slightly different, but because of the success of the other animal-based games that I have talked about in this Lucky Puppy review, it’s a no-brainer for app developers to use the game idea.
The app in the store, its full of images that portray an incorrect message of the game.
There are people holding wads of cash, high transfer balances, air max’s, iPhones, and more.
They are just showing you all these lucrative rewards to make you feel that not only are you missing out, but you should get the app too.
Conclusion
Despite the array of products that Lucky Puppy try to think you into believing you can win, this is yet another game that doesn’t follow through with there claims.
The game makes you believe that by merging animals, you can win cash and even the newest Apple products, but having played it, I quickly found it none of this is possible.
This mainly because the section where you win puzzle pieces is completely separate from the actual game.
So with this game, and I know some will enjoy playing it, it’s one that is exploiting users for their eagerness to earn good money from their phone.
If you play the game, you will be sitting through countless ads for these puzzles, but no user will ever get close to redeeming a prize.
I don’t recommend giving the game even a few minutes of your time if the financial gain is your incentive.
