Welcome to my Survey Compare review.
When it comes to finding good survey sites nowadays.
It can sometimes feel like having to find a needle in a haystack.
There are so many but very few.
At least from my experience are worth the time.
Well, one platform that has caught my attention recently is Survey Compare.
You may have come across, or even just read the name of it, and thought hold on is this a good survey site to use?
Well, it turns out this website is very much connected to the survey site industry.
However, my findings run a little bit differently than I initially expected.
How so? Well, I will explain all within this review, as well as tell you how it all works, whether it’s legit and even if I recommend using it at all.
So stick around till the end of this post to find out!

What Is Survey Compare?
Survey Compare shows you panels that you can then make money doing surveys.
Hence the name they are a comparison site and because of the business model be referred to as an aggregator.
Now I am not new to this concept, and it is a market that some companies are making the most of as you can get paid for referring people to other sites.
This one is quite similar to Survey Spotter, which operates in the same fashion.
The site was launched back in 2010 to become a site where people can find survey sites without getting scammed.
But basically, this site only shows you how to earn cash doing surveys instead of being a survey panel.
That is completely fine, but some do get confused, especially when they go on their home page. It does look like a home page similar to other survey sites.
How Does Survey Compare Work?
On the site, you will notice a small box on the right-hand side where it says you can can start earning within 60 seconds.
You will need to complete this form with three details; this is your gender, DOB, and your email address.
Now before you do this yourself, if you haven’t already, this form is not to sign up for Survey Compare themselves.
By doing this, you are becoming another subscriber to there email list.
I’d also recommend not using your primary email address as you may get a lot of spam.
So making a second email address for surveys is ideal in this scenario.
In total, there are four steps to go through, as you can see by the image below I was given various survey panels for the number 2.
I was given:
- Inbox Pounds
- Maximiles
- LifePoints
- Branded Surveys
- Opinion Outpost
All of these sites are established and are legit, which is good.
One thing I noticed is that they do tell you what each site has when it comes to rewards.
So if you want cash, gift cards or prizes you can choose accordingly.

The more you choose, the more you can also earn, well, that is what they say, and it is true.
You can click on the join now button for each of the panels you like, and Survey Compare will complete the registration for you.
For step 3, you will need to give a few more details, including your name and address, which leads you to step 4.
Lastly, you will need to verify your email address, just like you would have done if you manually signed up to each site.
What is interesting about this is they even have a link to Gmail so you can do all of this straight away.
So How Do You Make Money?
Now, as I said, you wouldn’t be making money with Survey Compare themselves, which is why I do think the whole process is a waste of time.
Instead, you are better off typing up the survey panels individually and joining them on your own.
That way, you can review the site better, and you also get to check out the terms, so you know what you’re getting your self into.
With that said and if you do follow their registration, you will be able to start completing surveys with the panels I listed above.
If you are new to how it works, then what happens is once you have completed a survey, you will be credited, usually with either points, cash, or even Airmiles.
These can be exchanged for various rewards, such as the examples they have on their site.
On their site they do say you can make up to £5 a survey, this is correct but getting £5 for every study you complete is very unlikely.
I know this from my own experience as I was only getting £1/2 for each one I was completing, it can happen though.
What Is The Purpose Of Survey Compare?
They are showing you legitimate survey panels don’t get me wrong, and it’s good that they are guiding people in the right direction.
But as you can tell, Survey Compare is more interested in making money for themselves, that is the point of the site.
I was scrolling through the list of sites on step 2, and only 2 of them would I recommend; the others aren’t that great.
Let’s take Maximiles, e.g., the majority of people go to surveys to bring in a second income, but Maximiles is a panel that pays in air miles instead of cash.
Not the worst thing, but it’s not what people are generally looking for. I would also say that if you are
What I Like About Survey Compare
1. Site Has Good Information
In places on the site, they do have useful information, so if you are new to the survey industry, you will learn how it works.
They have a video where they talk you through how to earn and also have an FAQ section where any questions newbies have are answered.
It can be confusing at first as Survey Compare does look like a survey panel. The way they talk at times on the site makes it look like that is the case.
2. You Will Be Shown Legit UK Panels
If they were promoting scams, we would be having a different discussion, but they do a good job of promoting established survey panels.
So whichever one you go with, you will be safe, and you won’t have your time wasted.
The only issue and like I mentioned earlier since they are a UK company you will only be shown British panels which there aren’t loads of them around. If you were living in the US, your options would be higher.
Why I’m Not A Fan Of Survey Compare
1. The Sign Up Is Misleading
There are several things I don’t like about Survey Compare, but firstly the sign-up process is worth talking about.
For me, it is misleading, and it’s unclear what is the point of it.
What are you signing up for if you’re not joining Survey Compare?
Why would you need to be giving them your details if they aren’t an actual panel?
Do you see what I mean? It’s all a little pointless
2. Designed To Make The Owners Money
For a business to work and bring in any revenue, there needs to be a model in place.
That is what’s happening with the companies they are working with. You may have noticed at step 2 that they encourage you to sign up for all of them.
Now they aren’t doing this to help you make money. Instead, they want more commissions for every person who becomes a member of these email lists.
So if a company pays Survey Compare £3, e.g., per person for recruiting somebody, they can, therefore, make £15 if they click on join next to each panel. It’s not only clever, but it is legit, I am also not saying they’re doing anything wrong as they are not.
If the pros outweigh the cons, then I would recommend them; however, it’s just not worth it, especially if it makes them money without them needing to do anything.
3. Time Waster
For a business to work and bring in any revenue, there needs to be a model in place.
That is what’s happening with the companies they are working with.
You may have noticed at step 2 that they encourage you to sign up for all of them.
There aren’t any pros to doing things through them, apart from showing you a few legit sites; it’s all reasonably pointless.
You are much better off researching on google and then going from there. That way, you will find legit panels quicker and skip all these unnecessary steps.
Do I Recommend Survey Compare?
So to conclude this review, do I recommend them to you, well no. It’s an easy answer as Survey Compare bring you no value.By going out of your way and giving them your details for them to automatically use it to register for panels doesn’t appeal to me.I am sure you may think like me in the sense that if you can sign up to a company that doing it directly is the better way of doing it.
