With the amount of survey sites its easy to become skeptical on them as most claim to earn you a quick and easy buck.
However some are anything but that.
So if you have come across this site and wondering is Product Report Card a scam I wouldn’t blame you.
They are a site they claim to offer market research opportunities however initially I found little to know information on them.
If you want to know whether they pay, if getting up to $150 a study true and answers to your other questions you are in the right place.

What Product Report Card About?
First of all we need to go over the site, firstly you will want to know Product Report Card are a survey panel.
When I first came across this site I wasn’t sure what they were about.
Whether they were a site that pays you to complete surveys or one that shows you how to, similar to a survey aggregator.
However one that comes with limited information.
In fact they lack many of the pages many others sites would have, such as a FAQ and a background page.
Despite coming aware of them now it seems as though they have been around for a number years.
Not as established as one like Inbox Dollars but are well known.
How Do You Get Started?
To see what was waiting for me I made an account using the fill in form on the right.
The process like I stated on the homepage takes around 5 minutes and do bare in mind you will have to give various details.
A lot of which you will repeat in follow up surveys.

If you look at the bottom there is a progress bar to show you how far you are into the registration.
To be honest though there is only 3 or 4 pages you need to go through.
This is because once you have made an account you will find various profile surveys.
As you can see by the image below you will have 10 profilers to complete all based around different topics.

The idea behind it is that it will help you qualify for more surveys.
There is quite a few to do so unless you are thinking of investing your time in them I would hold of them.
How Can You Make Money?
While initially its hard to know exactly what you will get out of joining it turns out there is more to it then surveys.
There are a few research opportunities that you can apparently benefit from, so lets have a look at each one.
1. Surveys
Lets firstly talk about the surveys which seems to be the main way for members to make money.
Now we have talked about the profilers which while you don’t have to complete them will get you the most surveys.
I was invited to a survey shortly after signing up without needing to complete one of the 10.
It paid at $5 and also said it took 5 minutes to complete. I tried to attempt it only to be shown this page.

This told me two things, that surveys are hard to get into and that there is possibly a lack of surveys.
From doing further research I found out that both are whats happening here, however I will get into that later on.
So the fact that the survey above is the only one I have been invited too and I have been a member for a week is not a good sign.
Its common for survey sites to offer a number opportunities, sometimes daily so already its not looking promising for Product Report Card.
2. Paid To Review Your Products
This is a unique opportunity that you won’t see on most testing platforms.
Is that over at Product Report Club they will pay you to write reviews on items you already own.
Now what is normally the case is a company will send you a product and you would give feedback on that, however in this case its the other way round.
Initially I wasn’t sure how you qualify for this but what you need to do is complete all the profiles I previosuly talked about.

Payout Options
In order to get paid you will need to have earn’t $25.
Then isn’t too much information on the site but from what I see you can get a Amazon Gift Card.

2. Lacks Info Pages
When I do my reviews I like to look at the site and check out there information pages.
So I can get more of an idea on how they work however on this occasion I found this tough.
Due to them having a lack of pages on there site, its normally standard procedure to have at least a FAQ and even a about us page but Product Report Card don’t have one.
This is tough not only for me but for users who are interested in joining as they aren’t able to do research before joining.
Because honestly while I knew they were a site that were offering opportunities for people to make money I had no clue what exactly they were.
On there site they also have links to there social media but from checking them out I found they are inactive. Infact the last time they posted was nearly 2 years ago.
3. Have To Put In Time To Get Anything Back
I know this how it works in a lot of occasions however what I found is that in order to make any money it seems you must complete all the free profile surveys.
These are ones like I mentioned don’t payout however help you get matched with the ones that do.
But with all the opportunities surveys included having to do so many are these pre-qualifiers seems unnecessary.
There not uncommon but on other sites you are able to normally sign up and make money straight away.
I have been a member for a few weeks now and am yet to receive any studies, so I will have to keep an eye out. But so far its not looking good.

Not sure how I feel about only having the ability to be paid in a gift card. Especially since it takes a longtime to accumulate significant earnings via surveys. You’re right about it putting a lot of people off. But at least it’s legit and it doesn’t cost money to use. Nonetheless, I don’t think I’ll be giving it a try anytime soon.
Fair enough Nate, It would be good if they have more options so hopefully they bring in more.
Hi Josh,
Thank you for the tremendous review of “Product Card” a scam or not. I find it weird they removed the cash option as well as lacking basic info pages.
When survey sites such as Report Card start removing payment options and lack basic info pages it always turns the red flag for me.
The fact the first survey you received didn’t even work makes a user simply run away as you said.
