Today, I have a Hi Doggy app review for you, which I will be bringing to you to answer some of your questions about the game.
The game itself is described as a game around keeping dogs. The developer even says that the game has been designed with fine details.
However, while you may see one happy dog on the game’s thumbnail, people are only interested in one thing.
That is making cash by playing this game.
Now, if you are one of those users, who is maybe confused about whether this game pays, I tell you this post is perfect for you.
This post will address whether this game pays out, what to expect, and how this and other games of its type works.
Hi Doggy Review Summary
- Owner: Wind & Rain Game
- What Are They?: Animal Merging Game
- My Worth It Rating: 1/5
What Is Hi Doggy?
With a rather simple name, Hi Doggy markets itself on the store as a game where users can keep different breeds of dogs.
It sounds quite intricate and as if a lot of effort has been put into the game.
However, despite how promising it sounds, the game is a lot simpler (not exactly a great thing) and is made with one main goal in mind.
This is to convince people like yourself that by playing it you will be able to win money.
The game shows many screenshots, about levels, collecting gift cards, and even winning cash just by collecting dogs.
But in this review, I will explain why this is anything but the case.
You see, we already have a whole bunch of animal-based money-making games in the store.
Naming a few I have checked out, you have:
The first of those three games mentioned racked up several millions of installs on the store, all while delivering the promise of free iPhones for essentially everyone.
With that game and the other two, I wasn’t able to find a legitimate way to cash out. Instead, I found that you were wasting valuable time playing the game unless you enjoyed playing the game.
Hi Doggy is made by a company I have recently come across, as my last post was on their other game, Happy Birds.
It’s funny because I had both games down to review for this website.
However, it wasn’t until the day of writing this post that I realized both games were made by the same people in ‘Wind & Rain Game.’
Obviously, this new developer is trying to churn out all these cash games to try and get that quick and large bag.
How Does It Work?
I want you to forget about all that keeping dogs stuff they tell you. The game is nothing like Sims or a game where you are managing your own dogs.
That already, for me, is quite misleading by this developer.
Instead, you have a done way too many times, merging game.
If this is the first merging game you have come across, let me explain how Hi Doggy works.
So you start with one level 1 dog.
This is shown in the animation at the top half of the screen, as one person is shown walking your dog.
Now at the bottom, you have 12 places which you can fill up with dogs.
The reason why this is important is that this is where you will merge dogs.
So if we refer back to the image above, you can see I have two level two dogs sitting there.
Currently, they are mine, and I get coins each second from them.
If I were to merge them, they would make a level 3 dog.
That would cause my dog at the top to change to that too.
Upgrading dogs results in more coins, which means you can then reinvest it into buying more coins.
The ultimate goal is to get these dogs to level 37, which will take you a fair bit of time.
That is because, like all merging games, the costs increase each time.
How To Make Money With Hi Doggy?
After 5 minutes of playing, I was wondering how this game even gave cash.
That is because when you upgrade your first dogs, you only get coins.
But once you get a dog to level 4, you will get a basic message pop up saying you have a cash reward.
This, for me, was the first sign I saw of cash.
However, it was quite low, and I can imagine that all the users get the same amount of $0.55.
You do have the option to double it by watching a video.
Now where things get interesting with this game is when you activate the bonus doggy.
This doggy is given to you when you reach certain levels.
This means you will somehow be able to earn the amount of the developer’s ads for the next 5 minutes.
Honestly, it isn’t obvious on how this works, as my balance only went up to $0.50 over this time span.
So it’s not clear how much you are getting, whether you are getting cash from the ads or if the game is just giving you money.
The only clear aspect is that the amount of money you earn through playing this game is staying with the owners and not ending up in your account.
How Exactly Do They Payout Users?
There are three cashout options in place, along with two amounts that you can seemingly withdraw at.
What is on show is similar to these developers’ other game, as you have PayPal and Google Play Vouchers present.
But despite spelling it wrong within the game, you have Amazon vouchers shown too.
The minimum withdrawal is $3o, and the maximum is $50.
However, unlike other games where there is a consistent flow of money as you move up, it’s hard to predict how much Hi Doggy will give you.
After playing for only 5/10 minutes, I had $2.54, which is a long way from the threshold.
The truth though is that users won’t be getting paid and all the options listed are likely to be a front.
Conclusion
What I have noticed from not only reviewing Hi Doggy but the other game made by these developers is how confusing the game is overall.
They give you virtual cash; however, it’s hard to understand, especially with this one, how exactly they give it to you.
There is a lot of mention about ads and that getting to certain levels and unlocking a certain dog will award you with a chunk of ad revenue.
However, that again doesn’t really make a lot of sense and sums games like this one up in a nutshell.
I don’t think, despite cash being shown within the app, that they pay.
There are too many games like this one that claim to make it easy, and I just haven’t seen enough to show me that this game is any different.
