What Is Happy Fishing About?
To put it bluntly Happy Fishing is an app that pays users to get fish out of the ocean.
Similar to the real thing, but inside a game however with this one you can find money and win it.
That is what they are saying and claiming to offer.
Now this whole idea of free money is trend that is growing right now, just take a look at Lucky Go, PlaySpot UK and Lucky Money.
Three apps that all offer so called opportunities to get free bucks.
They were developed by Fishing King Studio, which is a company based in North America.
The app already managed to achieve over one million in installs since March 2019.
That is on Google Play, but apparently, you can also get it on IOS.
What was also interesting is to see they have a rating of 4.5 out of 5, with just under 100 thousand reviews.
That would typically tell you an app is good, but as you will see, high ratings don’t precisely mean something is legit.
How Does The Game Work?
Once you have downloaded the app which doesn’t take long to do, you can start playing and catching fish.
Here’s a screenshot of what you will see on launch. You will have the orange ‘Go Fish’ button that starts the game.
You will also notice there are 3 buttons at the top.
The two on the left you will be upgrading, the length of your fishing rope and the amount of fish you can hook up.
Okay so once you have started the rope will go into the water, and your job is to pick up fish as the fisherman brings it in.
Now there isn’t a massive rush to get as much fish as possible it’s more about getting the larger ones as they carry the most points.
Once you have collected the maximum amount of fish you can, you will be credited with money (not actual money though).
That covers how the game works, but most of you are wondering how do you make money.
Well, I will get onto that now.
Stopped Paying Out?
With the app being out for the majority of the year, it seems as though I haven’t got there in time.
Right now, there isn’t a way for you to earn cash as a feature has been removed.
Check this out, these two screenshots are before and after. As you can in the after photo, the in-game currency total has been taken out the game.
Before The Update
After The Update
While you can still get treasure chests, they no longer contain any reward. It’s just an item that can be picked up in the sea.
I’m not sure if this is temporary or whether the app developers are doing maintenance however I will update this Happy Fishing review if I hear any latest.
From learning about the app, I can talk about how users were previously making money.
As you can tell the treasure chests used to hold money, and if collected, you would get a random amount of money.
Often between $0.02 and $0.20, with it going down the more you collected it.
These chests wouldn’t always appear, and from seeing other videos, It looks like it shows up at random.
Happy Fishing had set the cash out to $10, meaning you needed to reach that to get paid via PayPal.

Aspects You Need To Be Aware Off
From doing my research, I have been able to learn the dark truths of the app.
At first, it comes across as an exciting app however, it isn’t as genuine as you would think.
1. Pointless Game
Unless you are playing the game for fun, it is pointless as you are repetitively collecting fish and not working towards a goal.
It becomes an endless annoying loop.
Like I was talking about, they have removed the feature to earn, meaning you will enduring countless ads for nothing.
Now I know some of you will genuinely enjoy the game, and that’s cool.
But if you are looking to make money, you will no longer find anything of interest here.
2. Too Many Users Not Getting Paid
Earlier I spoke about my experience and how they have removed the aspect to make money.
But before they did this, there were already many people voicing their issues over the apps payout system.
The main issue isn’t people not getting paid but more not being able to reach the minimum threshold, which in the ad looked so easy to do.
The more that users play the game, the less they are getting paid.Look at this, these are five reviews that are recent for the app.
Here are another three reviews. Again unhappy people believing the app is rigged.
At first, they are getting enticed with some money, but gradually over time how much the treasure is rewarding is getting lower.
That reminds me of an app called Knife Bounty, which I reviewed recently.
The structure is the same where the more you played and managed to hit the money, the less you get.
3. Misleading Advertising
How Happy Fishing is advertising and also how they got my attention is through there misleading videos.
They were making it seem as if for every fish you catch, you will be getting dollars. However, that is not how the game works.
Having played it, it’s almost like a different game to one I initially saw. I mean it does make sense.
4. Ads Are Everywhere
I’ve tried reward apps of all types. Ones where you get paid to download games, complete surveys, even scratchcards.
However, never have I seen so many ads.
So much that it does become a problem and means, you are always stopping and starting.
For each action, you do on the app, whether that is collecting fish or even redeeming the cash, you will have to watch a 30-second ad.
Now having a few ads is okay, not ideal, but you have to understand that most apps these days rely on ads to bring in revenue.
However, I should be able to play the game for more than a minute without being forced to watch an advertisement to continue.
Conclusion
I have tried out this app for a few days now, and what I have learnt is that Happy Fishing is a scam. That is for sure!
Therefore I don’t advise you to install them. I don’t recommend any apps that waste time so I won’t be with this one.
In this Happy Fishing app review, we have covered a lot of the issues they have and problems people have gone through using them.
So with that said unless you enjoy fishing games, this is not worth installing.
