Hey there welcome to my Gemstone Tetra app review.
Now Imagine a game that tells you straight up:
“Download me and earn $100!”
You would be like hang on a minute.
That sounds way too easy, right?
Well, let’s see if this claim holds water.
Is it actually possible to earn money by simply playing a gem-based game on your phone?
Keep reading to find out.

What is Gemstone Tetra?
Gemstone Tetra is a block-based game from Nitrox Game.
A company with just two games under its belt.
Besides Gemstone Tetra, they also have Poppin’ Color Square, another puzzle-themed game.
The interesting thing?
I’ve seen Gemstone Tetra everywhere.
Ads for it pop up with promises of gameplay fun and—more enticingly—the amount of money one could earn.
Just like games like Gem Planet and Gem Master.
These ads are so effective that the game got over 500,000 downloads in a matter of weeks.
But there’s something fishy going on.
When you take a closer look at the app store, the game’s screenshots just show a regular puzzle game.
There’s no hint of earning potential, despite the bold claims in the ads.
And a big red flag?
It’s in “early access,” much like the other game by Nitrox.
Delving into the Gameplay
Upon starting Gemstone Tetra, you see the unity symbol, which, from my experience, isn’t a great sign.
You’re instantly thrust into the game. It’s Tetris-like with a twist.
You shift blocks, complete lines, and earn points.
The game’s mechanics get more complex as you go on, adding an element of challenge.
But here’s the thing: as you play, familiar voiceovers from other suspicious money-making games chime in.
There are power-ups, and after using them up, you’ll have to watch an ad to get more.
And trust me, there are a lot of ads.
How to Make Money with Gemstone Tetra
Unlike other games, Gemstone Tetra doesn’t shower you with cash right off the bat.
So don’t expect any crazy money instantly straight after signing up.
Despite what their claims seemed to suggest.
However with that said, I was still able to earn $8.12 after gathering 100 trophies.
But in just a few minutes, my total was $24.36.
It’s a suspiciously high amount for such a short time.
And while playing, you’re bombarded with ads.
Soon after earning my initial amount, I received another $24.
Sure, the game wants to entice you to keep playing.
But can you actually cash out?
From my perspective, it’s doubtful.
Other Ways to Earn
There are other earning opportunities like tapping on bubbles next to trees to watch ads and earn money.
Another is the puzzle prize section, where you can supposedly win big prizes by collecting puzzle pieces.
But, and it’s a big but, reaching the required amount of puzzle pieces seems nearly impossible.
The Advert Deep Dive
The game’s ad raised many red flags.
It features a bizarre story of a dad finding unexpected money in his account from Gemstone Tetra.
Yet, the entire narrative doesn’t align with what I experienced in the game.
The promise of a $100 bonus upon downloading?
Didn’t happen for me.
And that $299 payout shown in the ad?
There’s no such option in the game.
Payouts
Gemstone Tetra’s payout section is a maze of contradictions.
The ad promises one thing, the game offers another.
With a minimum threshold of $200 for cashing out and no option for the advertised $299 payout.
Its safe to say but the entire system seems skewed and unreliable.
Conclusion
Remember those good old days playing Tetris for fun?
Gemstone Tetra takes that memory and slaps a money-making promise on it.
But from what I’ve seen, this game doesn’t seem trustworthy. It’s built on the idea of luring players with the hope of easy money, only to disappoint them later.
While it’s fun to play, if you’re looking to make money, I’d advise caution. There’s a lot that doesn’t add up.
And that’s the end of this Gemstone Tetra app review. If you’ve got any questions or experiences to share, drop them in the comments.
