Having just come across a new app while doing my research I thought I would do a Fish Blast review.
After all the images within the app store for the game, are indicating that you can make upwards of $100.
There is even one woman being shown holding up some paper saying she was sent $20.
So with all this money being sent around it got me interested in whether or not this app pays.
It’s easy for companies to say they do, but unless you see proof for me anyway I struggle to believe them.
This is because these apps all tend to promise the world.
Fish Blast even goes as far as saying that you can become a millionaire.
That is what is stated in the description anyway.
But as skeptical as I was, I thought I would go ahead and do some further research so I can put it into a review for you.
So if your here looking to see if you can make money doing cartoon puzzles you have to come to the right place.
Fish Blast Review Summary
- Owner: TUYOO GAME
- What Are They?: Puzzle Game
- Cost: Free
- Verdict: Scam
- Recommended: Yes, but read on to find out why
What Is Fish Blast?
From reading the name of the app you would think you would be blasting fish or something along those lines.
Instead, the app includes a series of cartoon puzzles that are themed underwater.
Here is a screenshot of Fish Blast:
As you can see it is another one of those games where you are popping bubbles.
You can compare it to well-known games such as Candy Crush however based on reviews I have done I see similarities too Starry Legend and Pop Star Magic.
From doing some research on them it looks like they are owned by TUYOO GAME which is Hong Kong-based.
They released their first game back in November 2018 and have brought out a few other similar themed games since.
Fish Blast is the newest game to come out, they were released in June 2020 and have managed to get to 100k installs.
Now if you like animal games like this one, you will probably enjoy Puppy Town and My Cat too.
You probably won’t make money with them as I did label them as nonpaying.
However if you like animal themed games you may still enjoy the gameplay.
Starting The Game Up
From what I am aware the game is only available on the Google Play Store.
Once you have started up Fist Blast you will see a notification for a bonus.
This is $10 to get you started.
However, you aren’t able to cash this out until you have met the threshold.
Which I will get onto later on.
With Fish Blast you aren’t required to make an account, however, you can create one by connecting your Facebook account.
Playing Fish Blast
If you have played any block blasting game in the past, you will be able to understand this game from the start.
Each level you have a grid of blocks.
Similar to what you see below:
At the top, you will see how many of each color you need to blast before you can move on.
As you play the game you get more opportunities to blast rows in the game.
I am currently on level 5 and I can say the game plays really smoothly.
It can be compared to some of the top games.
It is enjoyable and is fairly addictive.
How Do You Make Money With Fish Blast?
After you have completed a few levels you will be awarded a select amount of dollars.
Once I had completed level 5 I got $8. To take my total up to $18.
I continued to complete a few more levels and after each one, I got an amount of cash.
If I continued to get $8 for each level not only is that great as levels are quick and easy.
But I can also cash out fairly quickly.
However the more levels you complete the less you get.
So when I was getting nearly 10 dollars for the first level by level 8 it had gone down to $4.36.
The good news is that I was up to $35.78.
However, if this trend keeps repeating way before I get to the minimum threshold I will be getting cents inevitably.
What Other Features Are Available?
What I liked with Fish Blast is that there seems to be a little more to it then your standard free cash game.
For instance there is a guilds feature.
Which similar to clans on games such as Clash Of Clans and Lords Mobile allows you to build a clan with other users.
While it is cool, it is a little useless as all you can do is gift energy.
The other features include gifts.
There are gifts for both earning a number of stars and reaching certain levels.
You get a panda gift when you reach level 10 and a star gift when you collect 20 stars.
Here is an example of one of the gifts you get:
As you can see you don’t get any cash rewards from these but instead tools to help you complete levels.
How Do They Pay?
After each level along with the cash gift you get you are shown options to cash out.
At this point, it is useless to you as you won’t have enough to withdraw.
But what you will have is cash out for PayPal and Amazon Gift Cards.
For both of these means, you need to reach $100.
This is part of the reason why they give you so much after each level.
As you need to earn at least $100 so if they give you $50 and then give you nothing after it doesn’t make a difference.
They are in control of what you make and when you make.
This is a problem with free cash apps as you could get $99 for completing the first level but never get the extra dollar to get paid.
I see it all the time.
What I Am A Fan Off
1. Not Too Many Ads
Something I have been waiting for with these games is one that doesn’t spam adverts.
On some apps I have reviewed they have almost spammed the use of them.
Not only is this annoying but it ruins your user experience.
What was a breath of fresh air with Fish Blast is that I didn’t encounter too many ads.
And while to unlock the odd prize or two you might choose too you aren’t forced too.
When you compare to apps I have tried out of late including Coin +, Lucky Pusher, and Knife Dash.
There is a huge difference in the use of ads.
2. The Game Is A lot Of Fun
A lot of the games I do play from the app store, especially the ones that claim to offer some way for you to earn money are pretty boring.
Most of them are either games where you are idle or require you to just tap the same spot multiple times.
This is part of the reason I wasn’t a fan of Lucky Plinko or Plinko Master.
But with Fish Blast I was pleasantly surprised.
The game isn’t boring and it’s clear to see that the developers have put some time and thought into it.
Even if we were to put the rewards aspect to one side you would have a good game that you could crack on within your spare time.
What I Am Not A Fan Off
1. Misleading Ads
Somethings are too good to be true, and that is what I found to be the case with Fish Blast.
While like I said earlier the game is good, the opportunity to earn on the other hand is not.
Here is one:
The ads make earning money effortless and that every click you make you benefit financially from.
This is nowhere near the case once you are in the game.
With Fish Blast I earned about $40 in the space of 5 minutes going from level 5 to 10.
But what I noticed is that while I got $8 per level at first it quickly went down to cents per level.
You start to think maybe this game will payout.
Soon after you realise what is actually going on.
This is all part of the developer’s plan to keep you playing the game and completing level after level.
It makes sense as who wouldn’t want their users to become addicted to there game.
But for me its the way they entice you in, almost building up your hopes.
2. 4.5 Rating Doesn’t Tell The Full Story
If you came across the game within the store you may be convinced to install it based upon just the rating.
However, it seems like those leaving good ratings are people who love the game.
I looked in the Fish Blast review section on the Google app store and I found numerous feedbacks from users who were experiencing and were thinking the same thing.
This one in particular sums up how I feel too, in that the game itself is good but you are likely never going to earn money.
From reading that you can see that just as I was experiencing the payouts get dramatically less making it a long and tiring grind to getting paid.
The fact that you need to earn $100 just to get paid is alarm bells in itself as almost all apps that have thresholds within those regions don’t payout.
Conclusion
If your looking for a fun game to play by all means give Fish Blast ago.
I continued to play it even after doing the review and found it enjoyable.
I didn’t have to watch an ad after ad which meant I could have a good playing experience.
However, here is the thing.
From doing my research for this Fish Blast review it does seem like they don’t payout.
I haven’t come across any screenshots of anyone with there PayPal cash out or Amazon Gift Cards.
The only proof is from the advert if you can even call it proof.
But ultimately a lot of people are turning to this game to make money and pretty much all of them are going to be disappointed.
So I wouldn’t recommend this game if that is your intention.
I’m at level 200 with almost $98.00 so if it pays i.ll be sure to let you know
I’m at $98 . Just curious if u ever got paid?
Thanks Freddy
My payout threshold is $150 I am at $148.10 payouts are 0.9 cents every 10 levels. I am going to continue playing until I reach the $150 payout threshold and if it becomes impossible to reach the threshold or the payout turns out to be fake then I think a class action lawsuit for false advertising will be in order.
I agree. Is there any AMERICAN game that pays out real cash? All the Asian ones are scams
My threshold is 100$ at level 381 it will probably take to level 800 before I get a pay out seems to be falsely advertising
i am also at 148.18 and not making any more money
I have reached level 357 & $98 and the payout is now $.01 per 10 levels. I took was excited how quickly I had accumulated close to the payout. However, I agree there is no intentions on anyone reaching the payout. I will let you know if I ever reach & receive the payout.
Thank you
Thanks for sharing Yasheca!
I’m at 98.98 with .01 per 10 levels it’s a joke. Is there a number to call so we can complain
From what I know there is only an email to contact Weeder 3D but not a phone number.
completed the first level which consisted of about 1200 games….reached $99.25….once you move to level 2 you stop making money—I am at level 2 game 23 and haven’t received a penny—there is no pay out it’s a scam
I think the same thing law suit, for advertising too! I’m getting tired of all this scames supposed to help people or claim to help when people are going threw such hard time, trying to keep busy not think about pandemic and lose of jobs might be a game put some people think this might help a little but it’s scam thank for reminding me how cruel humans can be just for money because I’m sure this company’s are making money off the millions of people who think they going to get money sad
Me too…. gonna see if this real or not but I have a feeling they gonna find way to not let anyone get to their goal amount
I wouldn’t recommend doing it as no one gets paid, so if you try and reach it yourself you will be in the same position as everyone who has played Fish Blast.
Mynpayout starts at 150.00 and I am at 149.20 and only getting a penny for what seems like every 30 games. I will let you know how it turns out
Did u end up cashing out.
Hi im playing swipe to blast the threshold is 500 bucks i have reached the.500 and trying to cash out. There is nothing happening when i put my email account. They are also asking for paypal account. They are false advertising
