    Dealing With Depression While Having A Online Business

    When trying to reach your goal at anything, you will reach a point where things don’t go your way.It has happened at many times to me over the years, and it is a perfectly reasonable thing to go through.Depression is no joke and is something that can affect someone if going through. Many people put it down to being sad or just having the will to do anything but that is not the case.I didn’t start my first online business until I was 17, and you could say I was a baby at the time.I made plenty of mistakes which upheld me from succeeding quicker, its all part of the learning experience.Anyway, towards the end of the last year, I went to the doctor and diagnosed with both Anxiety and Depression.The depression caused me not to want to leave the house and fall out of touch with friends.So trying to manage an online business while going through this became especially hard.Enough about me, I am writing this post to let any of you going through the same problems know that you are not alone and that there are ways to combat it.

    Don’t Push Yourself To Do Anything

    I used to hate being told this, especially from people who didn’t understand what I was going through.People who don’t go through it think you can brush it off or will say to you to pick yourself up.But it’s much harder than that, and there is a lot more to it.If you are going through depression, your productivity will take a big hit.You most likely won’t want to do any work because you no longer see the point.This is why you have to take it at your own pace.A lot of people won’t get why you are going through the problems you are, and this is one of the frustrations I have expressed in the last few years.Taking a step back sometimes and just going one step at a time is the best way to go about it.That is why having your own online business is Ideal if you are going for depression has there is no pressure to continue to work a 9-to-5 everyday like most people typically do.You have that flexibility and can ultimately choose when you want to work.So if you are having that day where you’re feeling off and the depressions hit you, then you can take a step back again.The only issue and why people do get depressed of online businesses and running them is that early on being successful in those results that you want can be hard work can take you time.You will go through times where you feel you are never going to make it and this will just drive you crazy.

    Realise Its Not Just You

    One thing that helped me was the realisation that I wasn’t the only one going through it.When you are depressed, you feel its just you in this world going through it alone.However, that is not true as millions are going through it as we speak.While it may be tight at the time you have to no doubt, things will get better, and that’s it is only temporary what you’re going through at the moment.That is something I have personally learnt to understand over time, and that is that you will go through horrible situations ones where you feel like you may not be able to get past; however, so is brief.

    Play Some Sport

    Another good thing to do if you are suffering from depression and struggling to any work done is to place in sport.

    Exercise is proven to help you and Comes with a range of different benefits.

    Not only is it great for you, but it also helps take your mind off your current struggles.

    If for example your playing a sport you can have fun you can lose yourself in the game and almost take a break from what’s going on your mind.

    Admittedly after you have played on, you might get back into a depressed state when you get home.

    However, exercise is a great thing to get yourself out the house and maybe play with a few buddies of yours take a break.

    This is something I’ve done over the past one or two years especially as I have joined a local men’s team football where I can go and play semi-pro football.

     I would recommend any of you out there who has an interest in sport and would like to get involved in doing more exercise.

    Try To Maintain A Balanced Diet

    Now this point helps you mentally as Keeping a balanced diet will help you with your moods this.

    One thing I noticed is that when I eat a lot of sugar that my attitude and emotions would be all over the place.

    I knew it was because of all the rubbish and crap that I was putting into my body.

    I know it’s a chore and to some people, it’s hard to motivate, but if you can create a meal by scratch, then it will be much more benefiting for you.

    Whether that is pasta, Salad or something else as long as it’s a nutritional meal that you can cook.

    Don’t Be Afraid To Seek Help

    The last point I want to talk about is not being afraid to ask for help.The last thing you want to do is isolate yourself, as this will only make you feel worse.Especially when I started I wanted to make money so I wasn’t skin had no money, so I put immense pressure on myself to make this work.However, this only made me more depressed has some of you may know when starting a new business or trying to like I said stride towards a new goal it won’t be easy or straightforward and it also most likely won’t take you a day or so to complete this.For example, if you wanted to become a football player you couldn’t play for a day and all of a sudden be good enough to play pro.

    It takes a lot of hours and a lot of practice to succeed, and that goes for anything in life.I’m moving away from the point, but the point is here don’t drive yourself to a point where you are having depressive thoughts each day, and you get through each day.There are a lot of support groups in most towns and cities, especially where I’m from in the UK where you can seek help if everything does get on top of you.You may have friends or family; there will always be there to help you. So if you’re blog/online business is causing you to get stressed out then take a break take a step back and come back to it when you’re ready.

    Conclusion – Take It A Step At A Time

    I hope this has helped any of you who are and has experience any depression the person may be going through right now, these tips should be of good use to you like they were for me.

      Excellent article buddy! I’ve always said that when (don’t eat much these days) I go on a binge and eat a lot of sugar, I end up dealing with up and down emotions. Eating normal foods definitely has played a huge role in being able to keep a good mental state of mind.

      Good tips though because a lot of people who run online businesses tend to spend insane amounts of time alone, which can trigger off depression.
