Welcome to my Cool Games app review.
Now I come across interesting new games daily.
Some are just ordinary mobile games you can play for fun, while some seem to offer intriguing ways to make a quick buck.
This game that was pointed out to me by a friend is called cool games.
It’s a new app that is yet again making earning money off a phone look effortless, but is it really the case with this one?
To find out if this one is legit and if it pays, I urge you to read on to the end of this review.

Cool Games App Review Summary

What Is Cool Games?
While it sounds like I am referring to what are Cool Games, I am talking about a specific game today.
This one is made by developer Fanyee.feng.
They claim that you can play your favorite plus new games while earning money from it.
From the sound of the game’s name, it looks like you will be getting rewarded for potentially trying out sponsored games.
So initially, I was thinking it would be fairly similar to how Mistplay and Playsmart works.
However, with the possibility that they don’t pay out, from the way it’s being advertised.
But what you actually have is an app that includes a lot of mini-games.
Just like Pocket Games, these aren’t too unique, so it’s nothing too exciting as these are all concepts of money-making games that have overdone.
But in the coming sections, I will talk about how these work and how the developers have done a poor job of this app.
How Does It All Work?
So how it all works is users get rewarded with money when they have the game open.
This is important to understand as users aren’t necessarily rewarded for the progress or time playing the mini-games.
When you launch up Cool Games and enter the lobby by pressing the green button, a fill counter will start going.
Here is an image of the lobby if you don’t already have the game:
There is a fill counter along with two silver coins at the base, which turn yellow once earned.
The idea is, therefore, to fill it so you can earn coins.
Each time that progress bar finishes, you get a bonus.
Now the promotional videos I have seen have portrayed the fact you will get PayPal money.
But as you can see from the screenshot below, coins are the only currency given to you for some users.
Is Playing Optional?
What I found interesting, and to expand on what I said at the start, you don’t need to play the games to pick up coins.
That is because the fill counters activate just by making one touch on the game.
So once they start, they don’t finish.
Now because you can earn coins (plus PayPal if it’s on your version of the game), it means that the playing side is optional, and it’s your choice whether you want to play them.
The reason why it’s a choice is that the app is poorly designed.
So while some apps have that function integrated into the app to halt rewards when you aren’t playing, this one doesn’t.
It’s all a mess and is quite clearly an app that has been rushed to bait more people during this trend of money-making games.
How Do They Pay?
Users are supposedly allowed to cash out through PayPal once they have made $200.
However, as I showed with the above screenshot, this isn’t possible for every player.
So unless you have the PayPal icons showing within your version of Cool Games, then playing becomes pointless.
But despite saying that, I don’t think the owners are paying out users anyway, so you are not missing out if you see the same screen as me.
What You Need To Know About Cool Games
1. Riddled With Glitches
Apart from the unrealistic expectations and the fact that the game ultimately isn’t going to pay, the rest is okay.
You have this app, which is full of mini-games, and on paper, it all sounds good.
However, one of the first and most frustrating issues I encountered was finding a game that works.
I found that with some, they didn’t load up while others crashed.
There were even some games where, when I went to retrieve coins, completely froze on me.
As a result, I found myself backing out or closing the app to try again.
So there is quite a lot of bugs with Cool Games, and it could be to do with the fact there is so much to play.
If you go ahead and play it, do expect to find issues as I did.
2. Might Only Find Coins
Now sometimes, with apps like this one, they either only allow specific locations to earn money or temporarily remove the earning features.
So what I found is that I couldn’t pick up cash, and because of that, I could only earn coins.
Which seem to serve no value in terms of cashing out as the advert suggests.
Now, funnily enough, I do actually think the game is better without the ability to earn.
The reason why is the developer is not likely to pay you out if there was actually a way.
So it’s almost better that at the moment you can only earn coins because that way some people won’t play for the sake of making money and only to kill some spare time.
With that said, if the earning aspect is going to be removed, they can’t be promoting it as a way to earn.
Conclusion
The idea of playing games to earn money is a lot of people’s cup of tea, including mine.
However, Cool Games is ultimately a complete shambles.
The developers have put no effort into this game, with a shocking reward system that doesn’t appropriately reward you for playing games.
They are also false advertising since, for several users, when they download the game, there aren’t even seeing the earning opportunities that were clearly shown in the adverts.
So with all that said, it brings me to an easy conclusion that Cool Games is a big waste of time.
I wouldn’t even recommend you get it to have fun with the mini-games. That is how bad it is.
Closing Off
From taking the time out to do a Cool Games app review, I ultimately found it disappointing.
However, if you are someone who has been able to earn money or most likely not, then I encourage you to share your experiences by dropping a comment down below 🙂
