Welcome to my Cashzine App review.
There is now an abundance of new ways to earn out there, and this one struck my curiosity.
This is because it claims to pay you to read the news. Now being someone who has picked up newspapers from the local shops but having to pay for them, this opportunity seems to pay you.
Here’s the thing though, when something comes your way that sounds too good to be true its best to do your research.
Just like you are doing right now.
Which is good.
So I have gone and downloaded the app, had a feel of it so that I can now bring you a review telling you what you need to know.

What Is The Cashzine App?
So what Cashzine is, is an app you can download on your mobile device which you can use to earn money reading news.
Not only that you can get paid to do offers and tasks. Once you have done that they then claim to pay you cash via PayPal.
The app was launched only a few months ago in January 2020. However, despite such a short time active they already have millions of users.
Getting Started
You can sign up to Cashzine using your Google or Facebook account. Currently, the app is only open to users in nine countries.
This consists of:
- Indonesia
- Malaysia
- New Zealand
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Thailand
- United Kingdom
- United States
- Vietnam
Once you have made an account as a bonus you will get 8000 coins. This is the equivalent of $0.10 and is put towards getting your first earnings on the app.
How Does Cashzine Work?
The concept of the app is easy to understand you click on articles and get paid for it.
At first, I was sceptical to how it works and thought it would be more a PTC site then actually reading news.
It turns out though that if you are a follower of news that you can implement this app as an alternative means.
Let me show you how it works though.
So once you have signed up you will be presented with a dashboard, including different categories of news.
These topics include:
- Hot
- Fun
- Health
- Food
- Lifestyle
- Auto
- Sport
With these tabs, you can go through the category your most interested in and click on the articles that take your fancy.
Once you have found one, it’s simple you start reading.
In the bottom left corner, you will see a number of coins plus a timer.
This is how much you will get for reading the article, the timer is there to let you know how long to read for before getting credited.
You may be thinking that you only need to click on it and just wait for the timer to go down.
Well unfortunately once you stop scrolling down, so does the timer stop.
I actually like that they do this, as it will stop bots or just people abusing the app.
But anyway once you have completed an article and the timer as finished you will see this message pop up.

Cashzine Referral Program
There are three ways to make money from the referral program, and in total, you can get £0.50 per person.
You get the first 10p if you refer someone and they read there first article gaining also there first coins in the process.
The next step your referral must earn at least 2000 coins in order for you to get an extra 20p.
However, they must do this all within the first three days of sign up.
With the last 20p, they must then reach a further milestone of 10,000 total accumulated coins. Again there is a time limit of 10 days maximum to get this done.
Once a referral completes all those steps you will be credited with 50p’s worth of coins.
Now if I am being honest the payout is low and is a familiar theme with the app. There are sites and apps that offer much more per referral, so in this case, I wouldn’t recommend as it’s not worth the effort.
How Do They Pay?
I was able to do read a few articles and got 100 coins for my time. Which left me with 8100 overall.
However, in order to cash out saying you will need to put in a few hours is an understatement.
That is because the minimum threshold for PayPal payments is 400,000 coins. This will get you £5.
Payout options range from £5 to £100. You can also get Amazon Gift Cards as well, however, the lowest one you can get is £30 which requires 2,400,000 coins.
So while the app presents a different way to make money, you will need to think about whether this app is for you.
With the high thresholds, you will likely need to read several articles over the space of months.
What I Am A Fan Off
1. Get Paid Anyway
If you are going to check out Sky News or BBC news for a certain topic, in my case it was sport.
Then you while well use an app like this and get rewarded at the same time.
The news isn’t new and is actually what is trending in the world at the moment.
But this is the beauty of opps like this one. If you are going to do it anyway, well it makes it a no brainer.
I’ve done reviews for similar opportunities, HoneyGain is one that operates in the background paying for your data.
If you are opinionated you can get paid for your thoughts through surveys with sites like UserCrowd and Ebuno.
Those three along with Cashzine all pay you for stuff that you already do for nothing.
2. Interesting Articles
I wasn’t sure what to expect going before trying as I have tried a lot of low-quality apps in the past which are similar to Cashzine.
After giving it a try I did find the news articles interesting, and the fact I wasn’t just shown general news was a good pro.
So the fact that users can choose content to read depending on their interests is a good factor to use Cashzine.
What I Am Not A Fan Off
1. Not A Finished Product
Lack of professionalism with grammar errors
Something I couldn’t help but pick up on is the mistakes and how unprofessional the app is.
It seems to be in the early stages with it only being up for 60 days but I found numerous mistakes around the app.
For instance, I went to the downline section, and at the bottom, you can see ‘check current invitation bouns’.
I have no clue what ‘bouns’ is, I’m just guessing that it should say bonus.
The main problem is that there shouldn’t really be any issues, and with so many users downloading the app it does make Cashzine look bad.
2. High Minimum Threshold
I had a feeling that the payout would be low, as reading articles isn’t the most strenuous task to complete.
When I saw 8000 points also it seemed a lot, but after finding out it was only worth $0.10 I did think that in order to cash out I would need thousands more.
And I wasn’t wrong. Ideally, you would want a $1 or $2 option but having $5 which is a big payout for an extra income app you just know you will need to put in a lot of hours.
If the thresholds are lower then more people will also get paid as there is a better chance they will stick with it.
As much as I like the app, I just don’t see myself using it every day for what would look like 3/4 months just for a few dollars.
This brings me on to my next point.
3. Low Earning Potential
Not that you would expect much but you are basically getting paid less than a cent/penny.
The app creators are clever because they have made the worth of each cent a lot.
So instead of each cent being worth a penny, they have done it so each cent is worth 800.
It makes you feel like you are earning more than you actually are.
So when I earn’t that 50 coins, it feels like a lot but in perspective its nothing.
The earning potential is much greater with this easy to earn get-paid-to site.
Conclusion
The app is now on the market however this is a type of app I haven’t reviewed before.
It’s a fresh and unique idea, I also like how it’s not just PTC but more something you can use in your daily life.
Most of us use social media and watch the news, so instead of doing that free you can pretty much get paid to do it instead.
The only complaint is how many coins you will need in order to get any money.
With most opportunities online you do have to put some time into it, but this one will be significantly more.
So it this is down your alley and appeals there’s no harm in trying.
Just don’t expect to earn money overnight, as it won’t happen.
A Slow Earner…
I don’t mind apps like this as you can tell, I am all about new ways to earn.
However, if you are in a situation where you need some extra cash and fast.
This won’t cut it.
That is why I have created a list of GPT sites that allow you to make money doing simple tasks and get paid within days.
If this is what your looking for and don’t have months to invest, then you can check them out here.
On that note, we have reached the summit of this Cashzine app review.
