Just the other day, I was playing what was, funnily enough, an idle game when I came across an advert for Bowling Idle.
Straightaway they got my attention because, in this advertisement, it showed a famous Tik Tok star promoting a game but also seemingly getting paid hundreds within seconds.
So If you are here having come across the advert showing your claims such as being able to rack up $1419, then this post is for you.
As here, I will be unraveling the truth behind the app and whether or not it’s possible to get paid anything within that region.
Make sure you read right till the end as if you are planning on putting time into Bowling Idle, you will want to know these things first.

What Is Bowling Idle?
Bowling Idle is like it sounds an idle game where you can apparently earn money hitting bowling pins over.
Since its another one of those idle games, your job is mainly to simply upgrade and invest your money to bring in more cash.
I would say the concept is much similar to Idle Bus 3D, Idle Playground, and Idle Planning, as it involves saving your coins and upgrading where possible.
It was launched last year on the 27th of November 2019 and, within just under a year, has racked up as 5 million installs.
How Does Bowling Idle Work?
The game is straightforward to play. However, I think this is a good and bad thing. I will explain why that in a sec.
So what you need to do is bowl down pins and earn in-game cash.
At the start, you do the rolling manually, but as you upgrade, the in-game character will do it automatically.
Now the game aims to make as much money as you can. To do this, you need to upgrade three types of things:
- The speed of the throw, this will make it quicker for you to earn money as the bowler will be going through the balls quickly the more you upgrade.
- Increasing the payout of each pin, you knock over. At the start, you get $1 for each one, but as you upgrade, you will get more.
- The last piece of equipment to upgrade is the number of pins. You start with just the one, but by upgrading, you will be able to knock more down, resulting in more cash.
You start with one lane. When you reach the 5th level, you will be able to unlock the second lane. There are more lanes that you can open once you reach certain levels.
There are also boosts that you can use. Every now and then, the bowling pins will be replaced with prop effects, such as trophies, increasing how much you get for a set time.
How To Make Money With Bowling Idle?
Before I talk about how you earn money, let me explain the currencies as there two types of cash not to be confused with.
You have the dollars that you can’t withdraw and are used to upgrade your equipment. Plus, you have the PayPal money, which is withdrawable.
It’s easy to differentiate the two. The in-game money will show at the top, whereas at the top left, you will see the cash you have earned.
Now, as you play Bowling Idle, you will receive PayPal card rewards, which will include a dollar or two.
These can be earned through doing upgrades, unlocking lanes, and knocking over pins.
You will get notifications like this one below:
You either have to watch a video to receive this money, or you can just collect it. It varies.

How Do They Pay?
The reward system is one of the most complicated I have seen as it’s not as simple as just earning an amount.
At first, it looks like users can withdraw within a matter of minutes, as the minimum threshold is only $2.
This amount of money is effortless to earn, and you will be able to get it within about 5 minutes.
However, where the catch is, is in that there are conditions that you have to meet to get paid.
For instance, the $2, which is the minimum, requires you to play the game for three days in a row, reach level 80, and use 390 prop effects.

1. 4 Hours Of Adverts
I have reviewed hundreds of games, but very early on, Bowling Idle shows you their intentions with the game.
The game is okay, I guess, at the start, it is nice to upgrade the items and have more money coming in. But it does, like other idle games, get boring after a while.
Now how I know this game will waste your time is because, to get paid, you have to reach conditions that are not quick and easy to complete.
Not only that, but each one requires you to watch an ad. So if we take the requirements for the $2 payout again, it states you must use 390 props.
This is where Bowling Idle is being smart as it seems like they are encouraging you to play the game first but really, they after the ad revenue.
You see, for each prop, you must watch an advert, this means you must go through 390 of them. That is not including the levels which also require you to watch a video.
That means, in total, you are looking at 470 advertisements. I have done the maths, and it isn’t pretty as that’s just under 4 hours of ads.
Now even if they did payout, which is probably not likely, is putting in all those hours for a couple of dollars worth it.
With the millions of users that are playing, it is safe to say Bowling Idle is raking it in.
2. Won’t Get Close To The Claims
The advert for Bowling Idle was always going to be way off the truth, but the fact the advert shows someone earning $1400+ shows you how misleading it is.
As I said above, it would take a minimum of 4 hours to get to $2.
Now the payouts actually go up to $200. But as you would imagine, this will take much longer, likely hundreds maybe even a thousand hours.
But the gripe I have is the ad is so wrong. How can they give people the impression that all this money can be made. When actually users will have to slave away from hours just to get a dollar.
The sad thing his there are likely thousands of users that are grinding there time with Bowling Idle only to get nothing out of it.
So if you are playing the game hoping to get paid, I would recommend stopping unless you enjoy playing it, as its not a good use of your time.
Not only are you underpaid massively here, but there is no guarantee as with any of these games that you will get a payout sent to you.
Conclusion
Bowling Idle is a game set up ultimately to make as much ad revenue as possible. The payout conditions definitely back this up as they make users spend hours watching them with the hope of getting paid.
What sucks is even if you do go ahead and put time into the game, your unlikely to reap any reward. There are too many people having issues with bugs in the game and not being able to reach certain levels.
At the end of the day, anyone who decides to play Bowling Idle for the financial benefits will be let down. This is why I don’t recommend you play it for that reason.
Recommendation
There is no reason why you should have to spend hours on a hand full of dollars. It’s an abysmal time investment, and with the opportunities online, you can make that amount in a much quicker time span.
When I first started making money online, I started with apps and completing surveys, I was able to pick up money here and there, plus it wasn’t too time-consuming.
