If you are from down-under parts of the world, you might be wondering what the best apps that pay in Australia are.
After all, there are several apps on the app store that you can use to earn money right now.
However, which ones not only accommodate Australian residents but present the best opportunities to earn.
Now that I have reviewed many apps, I have a good idea of which apps are great and also those that aren’t as good.
So in this post, I will take you through 22 apps to help you earn money as an Australian resident.
Table of Contents
1. Swagbucks
One of the best apps out there for Australians to make money with is Swagbucks.
The reason why?
Well, they offer a ton of ways for you to earn money while having fun at the same time.
Paying over $550 million since 2009, they are paying Aussies for playing and testing out new games, completing surveys, surfing the web, watching videos and much more.
Once you have collected enough Swagbucks, you can redeem them at many popular retailers in Australia, as well as PayPal if you are after some cash.
Now Swagbucks isn't just popular in this area of the world but is established in many countries.
It's completely free, and you can start earning today and making money in your daily routine.
2. PlaySpot Australia
At first, I only thought there was a UK version of Playspot.
However, it turns out there is actually an Australian version, which you can use to earn money.
PlaySpot Australia, launched in early 2021 with over 10 million downloads, pays you to try different games.
Each day you are given new games to try out, and you get to pick from some pretty cool games, mostly puzzle-themed games.
Once you have reached the minimum threshold, you can request a reward in the Australian currency.
That can be AUD through either PayPal, Amazon, Bank Transfer and more.
3. ClipClaps
ClipClaps is an intriguing app because its a rewards app that pays you to use it as a social media site.
Similar to apps like TikTok, you have a feed of videos, often funny memes, which you can scroll through and watch.
However, instead of doing this for free and for your entertainment, ClipClaps rewards each of its users for watching these videos.
Now, if you like the idea of content creation, you can also upload your own videos and earn money that way too.
Other ways to earn on the app include a referral section and various mini-games to check out.
4. QuickThoughts
If you are interested in voicing your opinions and getting paid, then an app like QuickThoughts may be worth looking into.
With this app, they work with market research companies to bring to you studies your way.
Every time you complete one of these studies, you will get paid for your time through Amazon.
5. Feature Points
FeaturePoints is a money-making app that has offered a way for Australians to earn money since the 2010s.
Paying people to do things like complete surveys and offers aswell as download and play games, plus refer friends, you have plenty of ways on the app to earn money.
Their reputation has stayed consistent over the years, with 10 million downloads over their existence.
That is due to them being still an easy app to earn money thanks to what they have to offer.
The only downside to FeaturePoints is that while payments are typically sent out fast, you have to wait for the points you earn from completing tasks on the app to be reviewed.
When you complete something like a survey, for example, it will enter a pending stage to be released for you shortly after for you to withdraw.
6. mGamer
mGamer is an app I reviewed back in 2021, two years after launching on the app store.
Now what this app is, is a reward app that offers different ways for you to earn money and redeem various gift cards.
There are four main ways to make money with mGamer. These consist of survey offers where you give your opinions on stuff, task offers, playing games, and watching videos.
You have plenty of things to do to earn. However, the main selling point for me lies in their choice of rewards.
All you need to make on the app is $2 to choose from either PayPal cash or currencies of your favorite games on the app store that you enjoy playing.
7. Earnably
Earnably is a money-making app and website with one of the smoothest interfaces you will see that provides you with opportunities to earn money.
Whether on your phone or using your desktop computer, you can get paid to play and download games, complete surveys, and do various things with their offer walls.
Along with the opportunities, they also excel in the earning area of their website, as they have several reward options, plus they pay you instantly after you have made your first payout.
8. Cashyy
Cashyy is a money-making app that pays users for completing missions.
These missions consist of playing games that Cashyy works with for an allocated amount of time to earn rewards.
Most of these missions will pay out a handful of coins, which you can then accumulate and then use to withdraw once you have met the requirements.
9. MistPlay
MistPlay is a great place to start if you are Australian and love to game, as they have something good going on with their rewards app.
I say this for multiple reasons. The first one is that MistPlay has some popular games on their app that they are willing to pay people like yourself to play.
The second reason is, again, like others on this list, you get rewarded for your time, so for every minute, you will pick up the in-app currency called ‘Units’ that you can use towards a reward.
The layout of the app is fresh, and with many rewards to choose from, MistPlay is a solid option for earning easy money from your phone.
10. Cash Alarm
CashAlarm is another pay-per-minute rewards app that gives you money for each minute you play one of the games the app developers are partnered with.
That means if you are from Australia, this presents a good way for you to pick up a few games, play them for a short while, and get paid for them.
If you do happen to find a game you would have played for your own leisure anyway, you will get the best of both worlds with you earning Australian dollars for your time.
11. StreetBees
StreetBees offers something different from your typical paid surveys app, by instead of asking for your thoughts on things, they pay you when you answer questions about yourself.
How it works is you complete stories, which are basically questions about what’s going on with your life.
So one topic could be talking about what meals you have eaten while another topic could be talking about the transport you have used.
Its all straightforward stuff, and for each of these stories you complete, you will earn dollars that can be put towards a cashout.
12. Curious Cat
If you want to get paid for your voice, you don’t want to be spending hours trying to get paid, which can be the case for different survey sites around the internet.
However, Curious Cat is a simple-to-use app that pays well for surveys as well, as a low minimum threshold of just $1.83 plus gives out instant cashouts.
That means two things not only will you only need to complete a handful of surveys to get that PayPal payout.
But you also know that once you have reached it, the money will hit your account in seconds.
So because of that, Curious Cat gets a deserved inclusion on this list of apps that pay you in Australia.
13. FitPlay
When it comes to making money games for Australians, Fitplay is one of the oldest of the new phenomenon of apps that pay users for their time playing games.
In fact, FitPlay has been live and running for six years now, with over 5 million downloads. Since hitting the app store in the late 2010s, they have been paying users real money to play games.
The rewards they have given out consist of PayPal, Amazon gift vouchers, and much more.
14. Qmee Surveys
Cumi Surveys is a paid survey app with over 1 million downloads and a 4.2-star rating out of 5 on the app store.
However, unfortunately, it isn’t available to every country, but luckily for you, it is open to Australian residents.
That means you have an opportunity to earn multiple dollars per hour completing quick and easy surveys directly from your phone.
Along with the surveys, there are also cashback and deals tabs on the app to give you different ways to earn money.
15. AppStation
AppStation is an app that pays you for making progress in different games that are available to Australians.
How this one works is you get given a specific amount of coins for either each level you complete or reaching some milestone within a game.
These coins then accumulate as you play the games AppStation offers until you are ready to cash out for a reward.
I say ready, as, like others on this list, you are giving a pretty generous starting bonus of 4499 coins, so you only need to earn a couple of hundred coins to get a payout.
16. Appflame
AppFlame is a really cool app available in Australia that offers an excellent way for users to earn fast money playing games.
The app helps users earn quick money, thanks to its minute-based payout, which means you can earn coins reasonably quickly by playing games that can be cashed out.
With 240 thousand reviews giving an average rating of 4.2 out of 5 and some users even saying how they were able to make $10 within a few hours, its worth trying.
A further incentive is that you get a bonus amount of coins to make that first payout with AppFlame that little bit easier.
17. Big Time Cash
BigTimeCash is a game-based app made by developers WinR games, who have launched several money-making themed games over the past couple of years.
However, out of all the games they have released, this is the standout of the ones they have to offer, as it consists of multiple fun mini-games that users can play.
The way it works is users play the games on the app to collect tickets that can later be cashed out.
Its not the fastest way to earn money; however, the company behind them is established and has a good track record of paying out.
18. Mode Earn App
Mode Earn App is an application that is known for paying users to listen to music.
I say known because its the main selling point of the app. However, there are multiple ways to earn money.
The music feature is quite cool in how it works, as you get paid for every minute you listen to different radio stations.
You can also set up a unlock screen, where you can make additional money while your device charges.
On top of that, you have the typical get-paid ways of earning consisting of surveys and different offer walls.
19. Bling
From my time reviewing different money-making games, I did come across a few like Dotzilla 2248 that claimed to pay crypto but ultimately didn’t deliver on their promises.
However, for Bling, an app developer that runs different Crypto making games on the app store, its more than possible to earn a small sum of Bitcoiin for your time playing games.
For playing different variants of your favorite mobile games, Bling will directly send you money into your Coinbase account when you make progress in their games.
There are seven Bling games on the app store that you can try out, with 6 offering Bitcoin payouts and their most recent launch Ethereum Blast paying you in Ethereum.
20. Cash Tap
Next up, we have CashTap, which was created by developer JustForge which was responsible for CashHouse, which has since been removed from the app store.
However, unlike CashHouse, where users got paid for building a house like in Sims and playing different partnered mobile games of the app store, you get paid to click a button.
By repeatedly tapping on a button, you will start earning money for free.
However, it won’t be significant amounts, with you likely to make only a few dollars over time.
With that said, though, they have a good choice of rewards for Australians, including PayPal and Amazon, with payouts typically being sent within two days of withdrawals being requested.
21. Lucky Miner
While the app name suggests that you would be playing some kind of mining game, with Lucky Miner, you will be playing different games to earn real cash.
Lucky Miner, like others on this list, is not just popular with millions of installs but gives out coins on a minute-by-minute basis when you play any of the games they have to offer.
When it comes to payouts, these have an excellent reputation for giving you a good amount of coins, meaning getting paid out repetitively is relatively straightforward to do.
The reward times are fast, and the reviews currently stand at a respectable 4.1 stars out of 5 on the app store.
22. WinGift
Next, we have WinGift, a rewards app that mainly pays you to complete surveys and download apps on your phone.
There are a few reasons why I rate this app, the first one being the concept is simple, and the app is straightforward to use.
Secondly, the payout system is efficient with not just different reward options for Australian residents but is often close to instant payouts.
So if you are someone who wants to voice your opinions with a survey and then order some free food, later on, it can be made possible through this app WinGift.
Conclusion
So there you have it, those are the best 22 apps that pay you in Australia to do various tasks straight from your phone.
While some of these do offer relatively the same types of opportunities, what I have found is combining multiple apps and trying different ones helps increase your earning potential.
As not only do you get to find out which ones suit you more, but you have more potential to earn more with more games and tasks to crack on with.
What do you think about the list? Are you familiar with any or have a few that you are now going to give a go?
