The online gaming industry has had a huge rise in popularity over the past 10 years.
Not only is it so much more competitive with more people gaming in their spare time.
But with the high interest and the entertainment that comes with gaming, there has never been as much money to be made as a gamer as there is now.
What this means, is for someone like yourself who wants to earn money as a FIFA gamer or even any game its more than doable, if you are prepared to put the time in.
Now today I am going to talk about how you can make money playing Fifa.
Why Fifa? Well, its a game I have played ever since I got my first games console, dating back to the early PlayStation days.
So not only am I an expert with the game, but also I have made money online for a good number of years too.
In this post, I am going to combine the two and show you the ways how you can make money by playing FIFA.
Table of Contents
1. Twitch
Twitch is one of the easiest ways to make money playing Fifa, and this is due to a number of reasons.
Not only can you literally start doing Twitch today but you also don’t need to invest lots of money.
Nor do you even have to be very good at the game.
Twitch is a platform that is more about entertainment.
So even if you were an average FIFA player you can still earn a decent income all as long as you can entertain your viewers.
Now the beauty of a site like Twitch is it gives you a platform to grow an audience.
With this audience, you make money in several different ways.
Whether that be sponsorships who want to advertise their products on your stream, your own products, donations, and of course ad revenue.
The nice thing about having your own stream is you can have it as you want it. You can even have links to other platforms to grow them further.
Now having read all that, you may be thinking Twitch is a no-brainer.
However there are things to be prepared for, and that is how saturated it is.
There are thousands of Fifa streamers, so to stand out you need to do two things, be consistent and bring some different to the table that other streamers aren’t.
2. YouTube
If you aren’t into the idea of streaming yourself live, but are down to make videos, then YouTube is another way to earn money playing Fifa.
YouTube is in many ways similar to Twitch though, when it comes to what is needed to make it a source of income and the ways in which it can be monetized.
You also like Twitch don’t need to be the best FIFA player ever, as long as you are entertaining again you will grow a viewership.
If you start to pull in views and gain subscribers you will eligible to earn money through their monetization platform.
This means you will start earning money when people view ads on your videos.
You can also promote other platforms to grow your audiences on places like Instagram and take in brand deals.
All in all, YouTube is simply a great way for any gamer, not just Fifa players to make money.
However, it requires consistency and dedication to make work, due to the massive amounts of people all trying to do the same thing.
3. Signing Up To Tournaments
When we’re talking about making money through playing other FIFA players, you don’t have to be the absolute best.
That is because there are websites out there where you can join online tournaments to make money through playing the game.
How this work is you either, pay to enter a tournament and receive an amount if you win it.
Or you directly wager your money on a match with a FIFA player, with the winning player taking all the money.
This is how a number of pros, found their way into the competitive gaming scene.
It essentially gives you a taste of what Esports is like, but on a smaller level.
4. Esports
Esports presents a great opportunity for a FIFA player to make a lot of money, in a fairly small time span.
Due to the interest with millions of people watching Esports events, you can make as much as £100,000.
The money isn’t just the only perk, but you can also represent an elite football club or footballer also at these competitions too.
Now, you are probably thinking what is the catch? As what I have just said would appeal to most FIFA players.
The catch is the work and dedication, that it takes to get there.
There is this stigma around people who spend time playing videos games, as many allude to it as a waste of time.
However, to become an Esports player and a successful one at that, you need to dedicate almost all your time to it.
The reason for this is the high caliber of Fifa players that are competing at these tournaments.
So if you are an average FIFA player like myself who plays it casually, you will struggle to even earn a place at one of these international tournaments.
But if you are a skilled Fifa player who is already excelling in game modes like Fut Champs, then trying to get onto the Esports scene is worth a try.
I have this way of earning a number 4 as it is quite difficult compared to the others way I have discussed.
For those though who make it onto the Esports Fifa then the earning potential is though larger.
Not only do you have clubs like Premier League teams, signing gamers like they would footballers to actual contracts.
But you also have the potential of earning up to 6 figures from one tournament win.
5. Offer A Subscription Service
Now the other way you can make money through playing Fifa is by becoming an expert in a certain area of the game.
By doing so you can offer a subscription or fixed price service, where you help Fifa players progress.
Whether that be coaching a Fifa player to help them get better over a 1-1 skype call.
Or even helping them trade the market to help them get a better team.
As long as you can provide value to a Fifa player, you will be able to turn it into a side income or even full-time income.
Now if we take the trading example if you were to understand the prices of players as they move up and down in the market.
You could set up a subscription service where you offer advice on what players to buy and sell at certain times.
As long as you provide value, people will be more than happy to pay you for your knowledge.
Conclusion
So there you have it, those are 5 ways all to varying degrees of difficulty that you can make money as a FIFA player.
As tends to be the case, the harder it is to get involved the more money you can earn.
For esports, you basically need to be at a professional level to even make a dime.
However, doing something like Twitch or YouTube a Fifa player could be making money in their first few weeks.
As with all these ways, when it comes to setting up long-term income sources, it will take time.
To become a better FIFA player you have to put in hours into the game, and to attain a considerable audience it requires days of filming to no viewers.
What do you think to the list? Any other ways of making money through playing Fifa that you think should be there?
