I don’t blame you, as this game seems to hand out money in every direction possible.

But does this money translate to actual money in your PayPal?

2020 was a year that saw many cash earning games emerge, and one concept that was really popular of them all was 2048.

This one looks to be within the same fashion as that, but just with another 200 added on, plus of course, the promise of money on top.

Right now, you are likely wondering if this game will pay you or whether it’s leading you up for regret.

So if that’s what’s on your mind, your going to want to read all of what I am about to say.

What Is 2248 Link?

2248 Link is a puzzle focused game where you are connecting numbers, all with the hope of picking up money along the way.

Essentially the gameplay is very similar to the number of not only number merging games out there but the 2048 ones that were really popular last year.

If you don’t know what 2048 is, it’s a game where you multiply numbers until you get to the targeted number. Some examples of games that were made around the idea of getting cash consist off:

• Neon Cubes 2048
• Hyper 2048
• 2048 Balls Merge

Each of the three above is essentially the same game but in just different variations, but the game’s core stays the same.

Now 2248 Link may not have the full reach like other games because they on early access. This limits people from leaving comments and therefore stops people from saying bad things about it.

They are made by Aiono Studio who already has a whole host of games in early access too.

This is very suspicious as they keep creating games; however, none of the early games are ready for the full launch, as you would suspect.

Really the reason is the one I stated above to do with comments.

They are serial 2048 game makers, like you can see in the above screenshot. Many of those are into the hundreds of thousands of installs, so they are very popular.

I have reviewed some of these already, including Pops Connect, Wordlink, and 2048 Cards.

2248 Link is currently on 500k installs, and that number will likely rise further.

 

How Does 2248 Link Work?

2248 Link is a game like I mentioned where you join up numbers by combining and doubling up. You start with 8 and slowly make your way to 2248.

Here is an image of the screen you will see after pressing play:

As shown above, you have a grid of 8 x 5, consisting of numbers such as 8, 16, 32, and 64.

To merge numbers, simply drag your finger from 1 number to another of its kind.

How To Make Money With 2248 Link?

I was shocked by how much I was given at the start for doing one of the simplest actions I have done.

So what I did was combine two of the 32 numbers, and as a result, I got the receiving message saying I had won $11+

That is exactly how you will start building up the money in the top right corner. Swiping numbers towards each other will give you points and will, more often than not, give you some cash reward.

I must have done three swipes. Two of them rewarded me with money, and in total, it equated to $26.

It is crazy to think that by playing a game like this for about 30 seconds, they can trick you with such a high amount of money.

However, I should clarify that this money means absolutely nothing to me because it’s worthless.

 

How Do They Pay?

So in about a minute of a game-time, my balance was around $44.24, and it could have been more if I wasn’t forced to watch an advert.

But just let that sit for a minute, $44.24/min.

That’s the kind of figures the highest-earning celebrities earn. If that isn’t a red flag that this one is too good to be true and just one big misleading app then I don’t know what it is.

The minimum threshold anyway is $200, which means I only need another $150+ to cash out. Going off the rate above, I should get that in less than 10 minutes.

It looks like I am on track to cashing out fairly quickly. However, this is an app that will give diminishing returns the longer I play it.

All while making me watch ad after ad.

These games give you a distorted view of life by making it seem like money is really easy to get hold of.

But if these games really gave you the money they offered, surely no one would be homeless because everyone would be playing these games.

However, as you have guessed, the reality is that the 2248 link won’t pay you. However, they will convince you to think that, so you keep playing.

1. Spelling Mistakes

There’s not a lot of things more frustrating than basic words being spelled so poorly.

If this is something you can’t stand like me, it’s a reason why this game isn’t for you, as this game is full of bad spelling.

To the point where you would think children created it.

Check this out below:

When seeing how much you need to earn to cash out, you are shown the image above.

As you can see, they have spelled balance as ‘banlance.’

Now I am not sure if this how it’s spelled in another language, but it does look quite bad.

This isn’t the first app I have reviewed that has spelled this word wrong. This was the case on Weeder 3D and Emoji Riddler App.

So either no one can spell it properly, or the same people are in charge of all these games.

 

2. Footballer vs. 2248 Link

Let’s play a little game, in who gets more a minute. Is it a user like me playing 2248 Link or a footballer like Ronaldo?

Now stats have it that Ronaldo averages around $37 a minute, which is crazy.

However, as you may have worked out, it’s not enough to beat someone playing 2248 Link, as I was able to get $44.24.

Of course, I am just messing about, but what I am trying to say is, do you think a free game on the app store will pay you more than one of the highest-earning footballers on the planet.

The answer is quite obvious, being, of course not.

 

3. Familiar 2048 Pattern

To say these developers love making 2048 based games is an understatement as their history is full of them.

That’s not the only thing they all have in common. The other thing is they all don’t pay. Not a surprise, huh?

I know this because this is the 4th of their games I have reviewed, and the same red flags arise.

To conclude, I am really not convinced that 2248 Link is a genuine opportunity to earn money. There are many reasons for that, as I have mentioned throughout this review.

You have the massive numbers they claim to payout, the ridiculous adverts, mirror image games, and don’t get me started again on the level bonuses.

It all points towards one thing and one thing only, and that is another game designed specifically to bring lots of revenue but leave you pulling your hair out.
